My favorite hairstyles over the years happen to be the ones that are so easy to do, but leave your friends wondering exactly how you did it!
Today's braid is just like that, and was emailed to me by a fan asking if I can show you how to create it! The Pull-Through Braid is so easy, even a daddy can do it! Here I show how to create a high braid version on CGH#3, and then I show you Brooklyn's DIY side braid version that she did herself this morning.
Enjoy!
Items Needed: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, 1 hair band, 10+/- small hair elastics, hairspray and accessory {if desired}.
Time Requirement: 5-7 minutes

I would be lost without this channel. My mom never did anything like this on my hair (not her fault entirely, she did go to work super early each morning) so in turn, I never learned anything beyond the basics. You have insured that my daughter wont have the same problem as me! I love doing her hair each morning now and get compliments on her hair from her classmates' parents and her teachers. You can also do it like a fishtail looking braid! Put your hair in a side pony tail or a high one. Create a hole and pull it through like they're doing in this video. Then put another hair tie on and do the same thing until you run out of hair. You can use normal hair ties and it still looks really good!

+Emma-leigh Swag you can melt the elastics with a wand or curling iron I dislike cutting my hair so when I put elastics in it I burn them because you really can't use them again after they have been used once

I used this style on my daughter a couple of days ago. My daughter has fine hair and it is hard to just keep it in a braid or a ponytail that actually STAYS for half a day. I tried this one and when she came home from school, she still had a PERFECT looking ponytail and every bump in the braid was still perfect! This definitely does stay and will use this one quite often because she absolutely loved it. For idea on age, my daughter is about to turn 6, so it works on 1st graders and I'm sure it'll work on pre-k kids too!

Ok this is just not fair to the girls from Hairandnailsinspiration that you just started follow on Instagram an of course you saw it at theirs IG account and YT channel. This braid was first done by them an they have a video on it here on YT. You could gave them a credit but this to me just looks like you stole from them. You are becoming more and more commercial nothing else.

Mindy, I have 4 little girls and I REALLY appreciate all of your tutorials, I've been watching since my 7 year old hardly had hair! You and your beautiful family are amazing. Anyway, just wanted to comment that my girls call this braid, the rainbow braid. I use different colored elastics each time and let them show trough. It gives it a fun look. i love this because it looks good for layers too. Could you do some tips for how to deal with choppy layers? they always turn into crazy strands falling out of my braids, especially when i try to pancake them!
