Question: If we know that our distribution is the exponential distribution, and we have the lambda value as = 1/3 , how can we generate 12 samples randomly in excel?
Yeah, I immediately thought so when I saw the result of the first method. Imagine if there are two subjects with same values in the Data, for instance Subject 2 has Data value of 100 and Subject 30 has Data value of 100, too. Since Data with value 100 was selected in the random Sample 1, should I include both Subject 2 and Subject 30 into my Sample 1? But now the number of sample becomes 11 instead of 10.
