Forminator Widget Issue: When using the Elementor editor click on Elements and then navigate to the WordPress dropdown. Click on this and the Forminator widget can be found here. Alternatively, you can type Shortcode in the search bar in the Elements section and use the Shortcode widget to add your Form shortcode.
This video, product, and service is free. This help is so valuable I am so willing to become a paying client. Seriously. The simplicity and value provided is honestly worth investing in. If I find something only accessible through a paid version, I'm definitely going to give it a try.
I build my site login and registration form through watching your video. But facing issue that when I log in with wrong credentials in fields it also brings me in dashboard rather it should show that user name or email is not register . Waiting for your response.
This is a great plugin - I wish there was a option to have both registration and login page combined on one page and is there a way to create and customise reset password page with Forminator?
I am looking to have it as a login button in the menu, as soon as the user logs in to show My Account instead. Also, allow the users to log in or register with their preferred social media. I haven't been able to see if it is possible with your plugin. Thanks!
Hi! Thank you for this tutorial! May I ask if this is compatible with Divi Builder? Can I also make custom pages where only members have access to as well as email notifications for this?
I’m having trouble using formulators the CSS style isn’t loading on my website and it’s saying something about a configuration error how do I fix this?
Great guide, especially useful that this widget automatically can validate new registered user. Does this widget allow to restrict access to chosen pages, posts/blog? If yes, which settings is it ?
Hello, I like this plugin, but I need it link to Mailerlite, could you tell me, in what time this will be done? I mean, that Forminator will be able to link plugins via API keys
anyupdate to this video? as all the features you talked about no longer free and not matching the plugin, despite that it is a simple and straight forward thank you
Hello. Nice plugin and tutorial. I have created login and register forms with Forminator. How to display only this forms instead default login and register forms at my account page for logged out users?
Hi May i ask?. how to create the user can edit or update the account that they created or fill out in form in Frontend. i already created User Registration and User login form. im using Forminator.
Thank you so much amazing! I have a question, If I already have a database of names and emails and I would like to send them an email to notify them that they have access to the login page without them having to go again through the registration... Will I be able to do this on formulator? thx
Hey 🙂 This can't be done in Forminator currently, you could use this plugin wordpress.org/plugins/import-users-from-csv-with-meta/ which would help you import your current list and there is an email notification section to send them an email to notify them. I hope that helps
Great video, I love the plugin, free features are great and I am going to purchase it for sure because I see it has many features more, I need to drill more. But tell me something... as son as I installed the plugin and used Login/Signin forms I was not able to logout from My account (using woocommerce), button for logout or quit just did not work. Is there documentation about that in your knowledge base?
I solved this with an answer that you have down below 5 months ago.... "Hey 👋 thanks. You can create a logout link/button in the navigation menu and point that to the WP logout URL and then use a redirect for the user when they logout to be sent a page that you have created." Many thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a question and hope you may respond. I am using the login form and it has the forgotten password url which when I click defaults me to the wordpress change password menu, is there anyway to change this? I have my own password reset url that fits my website style
why can't I have two different login forms for two different registrations. All registrations are done on just one LOGIN FORM all because the username and password metadata are the same ??
Thanks alot. I wanted my users to upload documents using their account, list documents they uploaded before in their landing page and I would access those docs in dashboard, is that possible?
Is it possible for the registered customers can use the login page to login. you shown registration and page and login page how they connect each other to gain the functionality..
Amazing tool and amazing video, great job ! Is there anyway to use forminator to get back from the db something we entered ? For instance if I enter a name and an address, what can I use to display that on the website ?
Hey 👋 Glad you love Forminator. Forminator can't do this at the moment but we are working on an integration with wpDataTables where you will be able to show form, quiz, and poll submissions on the front end in a chart. You will be able to filter exactly what fields are shown this way too. That should be released pretty soon so I hope that helps. If you are looking for something different let us know and we can make a suggestion to the team. 😃
hey man, awesome video but just one part isnt working and I've tried literally everthing, the forminator widget is not showing up in the sidebar of all the widgets so im not able to drag it into the website, if you know how to fix that, it would be appreciated
Amazing tutorial, really clear and concise, however I am having one issue, whatever account i creat with the signup immediatly have access to my wordpress dashboard, how do i prevent this?
hey my page is having trouble rendering emails and passwords? anyone know how to help me ? also how do you setup lost passwords. can this plugin help me setup orderhistory etc?
This helped a lot. My only question is, is there a way to make a reset password page? Or do I need another plug-in for that, and if so, will it work with this?
Hey 👋 you should be able to do this by adding the plugins wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-editor/ and wordpress.org/plugins/content-control/. If you create a new user role for each course and then use content control to hide the other course pages from that user role. You would need to set up the Forminator registration form with an additional select field where the user can select the course and then use the 'assign role conditionally' setting in the User Registration tab to then assign the user role based on what they choose from the select field. This might be something we cover in a future video 🙂
Hey 👋 you can add a logout button or item to the website menu and use this link example.com/wp-login.php?action=logout remember to replace example.com with your own website. We will be putting out a video on exactly how to do this as it's requested quite a bit. Thanks for commenting 😀
Hello there and thank you for this amazing plugin and tutorial. You explained everything very well. the only part i missed is where the user info gets saved when he registers. I mean in which database. "And where i cound found this database if there is one. Ty a lot in advance :)
Hey 👋 thanks for your comment and question. This can't be done within the plugin itself but what you can do is create a logout item in your website menu and point it to the default WordPress Logout URL. So when the user clicks the logout link/button in the menu they will be logged out and then you can use a redirect to direct them to whatever page you want them to be logged out to. I hope that helps 🙂
Hi, Is there a way to have the form submissions sent to a specified email each time a user fills in the form? Instead of only having the option to be sent 1 email per day with the form submissions?
Hey 👋 go to the fields tab in the form settings. Click on the password field and a popup will open for the password settings. Under the description, you will see the lost password link click on the text view for this box. You will now see the code for the link, after the start
Hey 👋 you can combine 2 of our plugins - Forminator and Hustle en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-popup/ to achieve this. Create the login form in Forminator and publish then copy the shortcode. Create a new informational pop-up with Hustle and choose any template. Paste the form shortcode in the main content input. For the button trigger, go to the behavior section, and then under pop-up trigger select the button option. Hustle will generate a button for you or you can assign any button through its CSS selector. I hope that helps 🙂
Loved it ❤️ though there's few things which needs to be fixed or there's idk about it the problem is when i sign up with the form and then try to login it says I'm already logged it it's okay bt mostly it doesn't work that way i mean after signing up i again need to login right?
Hey 👋 thanks for the comment. If you go to the User Registration settings on the signup form - under additional settings you will see a toggle for "Automatically log in newly activated users" just make sure that is switched off if you want people to log in after they have signed up. I hope that helps 😀
@@wpmudev-wordpress can i do this? After someone logs in i wanna print out his name like this - > thanks for logging into our site {user_name} we hope u will be with us Something like this how can i do it? Thanks in advance
@@dexter3943 Yes you can do that. Go to the Behavior tab in the form settings. In the Submission Behavior section make sure it is on inline message. You can add a message here and use the form data button (blue) to add things like the username to personalize it. I hope that helps.
Hello! Great video. I followed every step, but the Log In format doesn't appear on my website. I got the Sign Up to appear, but It's totally blanked when clicking on the nav bar "log-in" and it directs me to a log-in page but there is nothing there.
Hey 👋 Have you checked the 'Hide the form" option in the Additional section under User Login settings? If that is switched on and you are logged in you won't see the login form. If you are still having issues the best thing to do is drop a message to our support team here wordpress.org/support/plugin/forminator/ and they will be happy to help 🙂
@Ashen Dinujaya Perera Hey there, have you checked that you have added the login form to the correct page? Also, have you checked the settings as mentioned in the reply above?
@@wpmudev-wordpress Yap. Registration page okay but login page was an empty one. But i finally fixed it😁. I tried it to add it as a new section in home page and it worked. Then duplicate the home page and create a new login page and remove other sections. Now its okay. Anyway love it very easy. Thank you very much ♥️♥️♥️
@@dinu_jay_ I am glad you have found a workaround for your issue but that doesn't sound like expected behavior and I can't replicate that when I test it. If you have time would you mind opening a support ticket here wordpress.org/support/plugin/forminator/ and explaining the issue you faced so we can investigate and see if a fix is needed. Thank you for the kind words also it's much appreciated
I have installed Forminator and even created a form but the widget doesn’t show in Elementor. So I'm stuck at 07:47 Adding the forms to the website in your video because the Forminator widget is not showing. Can you help?
Hello ! Thank you for your tutorial ! Is it possible for the new members to publish articles ? (giving them rights) Thank you so much, have an amazing day !
Hey 👋 Thanks for your comment. Yes Forminator does have the option to assign a role to a member when they register which you can choose in the registration form settings in the User Registration section under User Role. If you install this plugin wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-editor/ you can create a new user role and choose what they have access to on the backend of your website. I hope that helps 🙂
Hey, thanks for the question. You can use the page break field on a registration form to then make it a multi-step form. You can then collect the user's details first using the relevant fields and put the signup fields as the last step/page. I hope that helps 🙂
Thank you to tell us in detail. I am just wondering why my users are Automatically logged into WordPress. They suppose to login into my Website.. Kindly help me out with this. Thank you in advance.
Hey 👋 thanks for your question. If you are finding that users are automatically logged in then the setting for "log users in automatically" is most likely switched on. Navigate to the User Registration settings for the form and make sure that setting is switched to off. I hope that answers your question. 🙂
Hi there. Thank you for the tutorial! :) Just one question. Im currently building a private woocommerce store for our companies employees. Can i use Forminator to allow employees to register and login and then only the store will be visible? Its not a public site, its a wordpress site just for employees only to purchase Aparel
You can use Forminator to create the registration and login part. You would then need to use something like content control wordpress.org/plugins/content-control/ to restrict access to this site unless a user is logged in. I hope that helps 🙂
@@user1022976 Hey 👋 for the scenario above the login page would be viewable to anyone with the URL but the rest of the site would only appear to the logged in user through content control.
Yeah you can do that by going to the registration form settings then to user registration. Under the user activation account settings you have multiple options, one of these is manual approval which is where a site admin will have to approve each registration. 😀
Hey thanks for the kind words! Please contact our support team here wordpress.org/support/plugin/forminator/ they will be more than happy to help out 🙂
Hi, I created the registration form and linked to website. I have the requirements to put first and last name, email and password. However when I sign up it says 'username can't be empty'. I don't have a username option displayed. Why is it saying that? I actually removed the username option but didn't mark it as not required. Maybe by default it's still required. So I clicked on 'insert fields' to add the username option so I could mark as not required, but the username isn't listed. Help lol
how do we make an address shipping form with forminator ? When I start with a blank form I have no option to add the meta data to the fields and when I select the user registration form I can add the meta but the name of the field are not for shipping and I am limited to 6 fields only
Hey 👋 thanks for your question. You can add a name and address fields to a blank form - will that not give you what you need or are you using it with another plugin/app?
Hey 👋 thanks. You can create a logout link/button in the navigation menu and point that to the WP logout URL and then use a redirect for the user when they logout to be sent a page that you have created. We will look at doing a tutorial for this in the future 😀
Please I need a form plugin that has an edit user profile, and upon registration I want to direct users to a specific page. Please ultimate member is crashing my site so not an option
Hey 👋 add a HTML field to the top of your form, add your heading in the text input with a heading tag. An example of this would be your heading and then go to the appearance setting and turn on custom CSS and add the following: h2 { text-align:center; }
Nice program and I hope you can help with something. I'm looking for a way to have a log sheet of dated logins. I work with pharmaceutical packaging in which auditors look for SOP training logs. Normally training is done in person with a sign-in sheet that everyone signs and dates to prove they attended. I'm setting up the SOP training with videos but I need a way to create a digital version of login sheets. Thanks
hello sir, i want to add custom field(profile image, birthdate) for registration form, how to store these custom field and see after user registration, i already tried custom user meta in user registration section but it doesn't help. please guide me it will be lot for me. Thanks for build this amazing plugin
Hey 👋currently the only way you will be able to review those custom fields is by going to Forminator > Submissions. This is something we are looking to add to Forminator in the future when we do we will make a video to show how that will work. Thanks for your feedback 😀
@@BabuMondal-tp7bu We are also looking at integrating with BuddyPress in the near future too. In the meantime can use something like Uncanny Automator to link Forminator and BuddyPress. I hope that helps.
Would it be possible to create a landing page and hide the original content and only let registered users access it? So when you open the page and you are not logged in it just displays the register / login on the landing page and once you log in you can access the page normally?
Hey 👋 Yes you can do this by using these two great plugins alongside Forminator. Content Control wordpress.org/plugins/content-control/ which you can select which user roles see what pages, posts, etc when logged in. User Role editor wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-editor/ if you want to create a new type of role for members. We will be creating a video on building a membership style website with just these plugins in the near future that will show you how they work together. I hope that helps.😀
Hey 👋 you can log out by hovering over your avatar in the top right and clicking log out. For a more user-friendly way, you can add a logout link to the website menu. If you want the ability for the user to add an avatar image and see certain pages then it might be better to use a membership plugin as Forminator can't currently do this. 🙂
