Simple explanation, but for those who are not Internet Savvy, they need some more clarification. Now that you separated a Sales Funnel from a standard website, where is a sales funnel page(s) placed? It is still the Internet and all locations on the Internet require domain names, whether to a single page or to a standard website. This says, your video should have clarified if this sales funnel is to be placed onto a separate domain, or are these sales funnels created at other websites that provide the tools & support to create sales funnels, or are these sales funnels separate pages on the same website? Do you see what I mean by more clarification is needed?

I came here strait from Kajabi’s (a competitor of ClickFunnels) blog post when they linked this video as proof to say that ClickFunnels doesn’t have a website builder when essentially funnel is still a specific type of website. Literally laughed so hard when I saw this. Quote from Kajabi: Russell Brunson the owner of ClickFunnels believes that you don’t even need a website to make sales online.

Hi Russel, thanks for this video. I think those websites which have a section for blog or another section for forum come higher in Google ranking? As they have more engaging content and people will be more involved with that websites and spend more time on those sites... As you know these 3 factors are important for SEO: Engagement , having new content, and the amount of time people spending on your website... So how do you deal with these 3 in your websites made by clickfunnels?

So Russel...I own a restaurant (and I'm coming to FunnelHacking 2019 btw!!) and so would I use funnels specifically to receive traffic I've driven from advertising but also use another setup for my "main" website? I remember seeing people who essentially use CFunnels to build out their main site, obviously with a lot of selling and marketing going on at the same time. Would LOVE to get your answer...thanks for ALL you do. I'm excited to use CF to change the restaurant marketing game.

Website is necessary for brand awareness. But if you want to drive traffic directly to final sales process then you need a funnel where there is no other distraction.

Google or use RU-vid and search for "Google analytics conversion tracking" it does exactly what you're asking. I think clickfunnels offers conversion tracking in their software, but don't quote me on that.

There is no difference between a website and a sales funnel. He's just trying to make what he is talking about "new". A sales funnel is a website with customized buttons. You can customize a website layout and buttons in any different way you want. The idea about making the design easy to navigate is true, but it is still a normal website. Don't go running telling developers "I want a funnel not a website", you'll be laughed at. Tell them I want a website that is easy and clear to navigate. After all, a Funnel literally means the liquid container that bring water from the top (new visitor), through the bottom of the funnel (customer), you need to have a website that does that. That is it.

You're getting tight about nothing here. A 'funnel' is indeed a set of webpages, but he's explaining the difference between a traditional website and a funnel conceptually. Recall what the question was that was asked in the first place. It's not 'bs'.

@@ao9297 While you're correct I think what OP is saying really is that ppeople try to sell you funnels as if theyre some kind of money making machines while a website is a shitty solution that wont get you sales. In many cases traditional websites convert better.

It's a standalone process by itself. No website needed. I'm just learning about ClickFunnels and there are gazillions of different types of funnels, not just one or two. :)
