Thanks for the tutorial! May I ask if this should work for Squarespace 7.0? For some reasons the code injection seems to break the Accordion block, and all the content of the accordion block isn't displayed at all. Is your website down too by any chance?
Hi, thanks for the comment. Well I am using 7.1 actually and nothing is broken but you could do the following troubleshooting: 1. You included the script between script opening closing tags ? .... the pasted code Also it should be in the footer panel 2. What source did you use for your image or video: jpg? mp4? or something else ?
@@uicornerwithJ Thanks for getting back to me and I appreciate it! 1) Yes, I did, basically similar to what you showed in the video. I copy-pasted the whole script into the footer in Code Injection, including the ....... and everything in between. 2) I tried JPEG. In the text input in the accordian block, I input "[[ img ]] text" and then link the text to an image. Once I do that, the accordian block doesn't work and its content is missing. If I remove the script from footer, the Accordian block works as usual again and the content in the accordian block is visible once again.
Thanks for this! Love how this is possible in Squarespace. The only problem I'm running into, is that the script doesn't seem to load until the page is refreshed. Then after it's refreshed things appear as they should in the accordion block. If you have any tips, please let me know. This is awesome otherwise though.
Every time someone would go on the website, they needed to refresh for it to work, but I figured out the fix. I needed to disable Ajax loading in Squarespace. This seemed to disrupt the loading times of the custom JavaScript code. @@uicornerwithJ
@@elizabethconnor3313 There are some ways, but one of it is by going to Website > Website Tools > Code injection and then between tags you put the code in the Footer panel.
