can you wash a garment with fimo buttons sewn on or do they have to be varnished, (even if the varnish is water-based)?

They're using Fimo, a polymer clay that you can bake in the oven. Other major brands are Sculpey and Kato. You can get them at craft stores like Michaels or Joann's... also online at Amazon and other vendors. It's usually about $2 per 2 ounces. Have fun!

Does anyone know which of the fimo clay is best for making canes? I've been trying and I can't seem to get them right? Once I start to roll and stretch my cane, it gets all warped on the inside.
