Yeah, pricing is tricky, I like to do 3x-4x markup on products I manufacture and sell to the consumer. 50% off for wholesale. Anything less, at least for me, and the shipping, customer support, and product quality are gonna have to get sacrificed

Hello, I’m not sure if this is the best place for it, or maybe a different blog. I have a website in the U.S. where I sell digital products and I have affiliate marketers that help sell my products by promoting it. As the owner of my business, what duties DO I have in regards to reporting to the IRS for tax purposes related to me paying my affiliates. I wouldn’t consider my affiliates employees necessarily, but I am paying them. Do I need to fill out a 1099 for each individual, and if I do, do I tell them that upfront (and if they live outside the country I believe there is a different form)? Any light you can shed on this would be appreciated, thank you.
I d k how to get past the idea that affiliate programs ask for a website in order to join. And like Walmart wants to login to my soical media sites & delete posts, create collections, etc. I don't get this.

I want an advice from you guys. 1) I have been looking through all my competitors in hair and wig niche researching what are they selling, how are they selling, their marketing strategies and their manufacturing and sourcing hair? I've been looking through all their social media platforms and it has been making me a little anxious as to how will I stand out in this Super Saturated market or Niche? Although the common Traits that I see in wigs and hair business is that their target audience is only female, howcome they never manufacture wigs or hair patches for men? I'm sure men would also want hair that is all the time glamorize in Men's fashion magazine because I've never seen Men's fashion magazine having bald men or men who have bald patches on their head. Or you know Alopecia!!! And I've never seen them selling synthetic wigs for daily use or Cosplay since they're so hell bent on Raw organic human Remy hair business. And the only things they sell are wigs and hair patches and extensions not any kind of styling tools. At the moment internet is flooded with contents like these.... but what makes me anxious is that I know perfection isn't something one should strive for but we do want people to have products of great quality at affordable prices something that we keep marketing and showing off right ? And another thing is even if I want to keep my brand voice Unisex being inclusive of all genders from where am I supposed to get men and transgenders and bisexuals On-board ? 2) Do you think organizing Salon Parties where we invite Beauticians and influencers and regular people in the party will help us with Word-Of-Mouth Marketing or increasing Brand Popularity? So I have plan of action I know how can I get sales organically leveraging social media and narrowing down our target audience but I'm feeling anxious or nervous as to how or if I'd get noticed by people and if they'd find my product or content valuable or not !!!
Don't worry about being in a "super saturated market." The thing that will make you stand out to other people is how you brand your business. (Who is your target audience? How do you help them solve a problem or delight them with your product compared to your competition? What do you stand for-your values? Why should people care about your business?) There are many businesses that have similar products. But what makes each business unique is the driving force behind them that make their target audience WANT to trust and believe in them. Focus on what humanizes your business and makes other people want to jump on your bandwagon and speak great things to other people about it. As for the inclusivity of LGBTQIA and Men...if you focus on too many things at once, you're going to drown in the background of your competition. Pick one thing you want to stand for. If your target audience is women. Focus on them with the intention of adding lines for others at a later time once you gain more traction. If you want to focus on men first, I've seen marketing examples of how balding is an insecurity for men. Getting plugs, patches, wigs, etc makes them feel confident and look younger. How will your product be different? Focus on how easy it is to use, focus on how you can't even tell that it's not their real hair, etc. If those are things your products can do for them your advertising should focus on that and you will need the testimonials to back that up. Second (or third or forth, I've already lost track lol) I think it is a great idea to do salon parties. Not only are you getting a co-sign from professionals, but your getting normal every day people to interact with your products and see them in action. If you go that route, do a Facebook / TikTok / Instagram Live to showcase your event so that other people that might be interested in what you have to offer but can't be there in person can feel involved. Maybe during your live you offer a special discount or giveaway for people that participate in your live just to get more word of mouth and engagement. (Introduct that in your captions and at the beginning of your live and in the middle you offer a discount and at the end you announce your giveaways that way people will stay tuned during your entire session)

If using a product like Uppromote, how is the final sale at the external site (tracked via Commission Junction) accurately linked back to the initial referring partner? Would this be a manual step? Thank you!
