In this video, I'll guide you through the steps to create a vertical scroll bar in Excel. In just 4 steps you’ll learn to make the vertical scroll bar using Excel’s Form Controls and tweak its properties. In addition, you’ll also learn to hide and unhide the default scroll bars in Excel. Scroll bars are useful when scrolling through long datasets. Hello, great video and this helped me have a big breakthrough for my dashboard! By chance, would you be able to provide a formula that allows me to insert a data validation/and or combo box for a particular column, to get specific results in the scroll window?

Dear @justind3172, Thank you for your feedback. Regarding your question on how to show the results in the scroll window for a particular column. Yes, this can be done easily just follow the steps: Use the Data Validation to create a drop-down list with the column names. In our example, we chose the B4:E4 column headers. Use this updated formula: =INDEX($B$5:$E$34,$G$4+ROWS($B$5:B5),MATCH($I$4,$B$4:$E$4,1)) Insert the vertical scroll bar from the Form Controls. The Format Controls of the scroll bar will remain the same as shown in the video. You are good to go!
