Hey Katie, love your videos! Could you make a video on uploading videos to TPT. For instance, I hear that some use Google slides and some even upload to Unlisted RU-vid to sell their slide presentations. Is that something you can discuss in a video?
@@frankluna8712 If your personal account is only a free Buyer Account, then you cannot use that to sell and must upgrade to either a Basic Seller account or a Premium Seller account. Hope that helps!
Thank you for leaving the background blank!!! It wastes a ton of ink on a school copier when printing worksheets with large solid borders! I actually avoid purchasing TPT products that use lots of ink. I’m kinda weird that way I guess, but I teach at a 800+ school, so I’m very conscious about what I print.
I definitely don’t think you’re alone in that! Might as well save ink anyway. I know a lot of TPT sellers will make both a color and printer-friendly version which is definitely a good idea :)
Nice video, I love to see how other people use Canva. What scares me about creating resources for TPT is copyright issues. Is it ok for you to sell on TPT with the guitar image coming from Canva? I'm great at using canva but this fear has kept me from publishing my own self made resources. I'm an art teacher and many of my lessons involve art history, and I'm afraid to cause copyright infringement issues there as well because some museums own the rights to famous artworks. Any advice on how to navigate these issues or become more educated on the matter?
That’s a normal fear and also super important. This isn’t professional advice and is just personally what I’ve learned, but I reached out to Canva about this a couple months back and what I’d recommend based on what they said is to use only free elements (none from their Pro collection). They have tons though and it’s definitely possible! The other option is to buy clip art from TPT, which I just started doing and it looks so nice but of course isn’t free. If you ever have more questions about it I’d just reach out to canva directly!
@@KatieGettysCoaching Thanks so much! I figure if I also slowly work on my google slides and replace some other imagery that I randomly found on Google with process images of my own work or clip art, that might be a great way to start.
Yeah that sounds good! It definitely sounds time consuming to create your own clip art though so I'd definitely check out ones to purchase as well-- they're usually around $5 and TPT has a lot of free ones too. And of course the free canva pro can be great as well. Good luck!
