Begin by constructing your tour in your primary language, adhering to the foundational steps outlined in your Wintor onboarding session. This initial phase lays the groundwork for your tour's structure and content.
Upon completion of your tour, navigate to your project on web.wintor.com.
Here, you will embark on the translation process, starting with the tour's textual elements. This includes the descriptions on the tour page, informational texts at each spot, and any written content associated with your media.
For translating the entirety of your tour, locate the 'Translations' tab within the tour dashboard. Wintor provides an AI-powered translation tool, facilitating a seamless and efficient translation process.
Ensure to save your progress after utilizing this feature.
Next, assess the media integrated into your tour. While certain elements, such as music or 3D models, may not require translation due to their universal nature, other media like images and audio narratives will need linguistic adaptations.
To add a version in another language for specific media, select the media file, click ‘add’, choose the desired language, and proceed to upload the translated version. Remember to define the original language for each piece of media to maintain clarity and organization.
For audio narratives, the creation process involves an additional step. Utilize Wintor's narration feature to generate an audio asset in the target language. Input the translated script, download the newly created audio file, and upload it to the corresponding section of your tour.
The final component to consider is the translation of interactive elements, such as quizzes. This can be accomplished by selecting the quiz and opting for the 'translation' feature, allowing you to adapt the questions and answers to your chosen languages.
Upon completing these steps, your tour is now accessible in multiple languages. Within the Wintor Tours App, users will see an option to select their preferred language.
