I wish I found your video first before I wasted time watching a bunch of people confuse me! Very clear and well explained. Showed many options that people might encounter. 10 minutes was the perfect amount of time! The OCD tip was STELLAR! Thank you!
Very Helpful. Thank you very much. They seem to have updated the docusign menu on the left, but this is still helpful in pointing you to the right controls to use.
This is precisely the information that I was looking for and presented at the perfect pace! I also really appreciate your self-professed OCD because I like to get all those details right too, to make the best possible impression on the person filling out the form.
This video gave me so many good DocuSign tips that I can use even outside of templates!! Thank you for the help - I hadn't even noticed those text justification buttons before so that blew my mind, haha. No more placing things "just so"!
Thank you for such a great tutorial! This was simple and conscience - exactly what I needed to understand the basics! I've done a few tests out of the sandbox for the single doc sends already (sandbox is also huge help so I'm not junking up my account) and now, on to the next video!
This is a really helpful tutorial! I have a Business Pro account but do not have the ability to edit the email subject for each recipients as shown in this video.
Thank you so much for this video. This will save me so many envelopes with testing forms. I have reached out to docusign repeatedly trying to figure out why a power form that i have set up for 2 signors no longer will allow the second signor to fill in their info with their name and email so they can sign the form. They told me to recreate the form and i have but same problem. Any ideas would be appreciated. I did upload the problem form into the demo account but it didn't keep the power form settings so i set up as a power form in the demo account and it works. Is there a way to now take that power form from the demo account and put it into my active account without losing the power form settings? Thanks so much
Unfortunately no way to move the Powerform to production as it won’t have the same link. I can’t tell you why the issue happened in the first place without looking into your account however what you’re doing to rectify the issue is the right thing to do.
Hi Sofian! Question - if I create and test a document in Sandbox, and it works well, is there a way to move it or copy it over into my regular Docusign account?
Hey Katie, yes you need to download the template and import it in your production account. Make sure the setting “enable template upload” is turned on in your production account (sending settings)
Hi. Great video. Is there a way to have a field copy the data from a different field? Ex. I would like the Company Name to not have to be reentered each time it is used in the document. Thank you
Hey Daniel! That's a tricky one. Company field can behave in two ways depending on your recipients' DocuSign setup: Situation 1 The recipient has DocuSign and has added their Company name in their "My preference" section, then the field will populate automatically during the signing process. Situation 2 If the Recipient doesn't have a DocuSign account OR if they have DocuSign but haven't added their company name in the "My preference" section, the field becomes a text field. I have never tested whether the data will replicate in fields with this Option, in case the field appears multiple times on the document.
Is there a way I can create this template (for a contract) for my company, and anyone from the company can access it to send to customers? I am not the only one who sends contracts out. Thanks for your help, the video was excellent!
@@fortheloveofcoffee1482 Absolutely, after you've created your template, click on 'use', then enter recipients details and click on 'advanced edit' then fill in the fields and send the envelope. Recipients will be able to change the info contained in the field if they want to :)
I am curious after watching your video, is it possible to create a dynamic template that can be used solely on the iPad Pro? I am getting tired of going into word to change info, then upload document on laptop to DocuSign to send the envelope. I wish I could just use iPad!
Alex, that’s a good point. And yes, you can by following this process outlined in my video called DocuSign MAIL MERGE: Bulk Send Envelopes In SECONDS With ZAPIER And DOCUPILOT
question, can you make a video as to how to share templates to your other users. My other users aren't getting the made templete on their "Shared with me" when i share it to everyone. This would be a huge help!!
What if the recipient has 2 first names/last names? When i try to send using their full name it takes away part of their name. Do you know a way around this so the full name populates or is there a way to specify what is part of the first name/ last name when sending?
Hi Sofian - my first bit of research into document templates and filling them - this is almost totally what I've been seeking (I think) for the last year!! My Wife recommended Docusign. However, with the email sending facility (Sandbox?), does it link with my business Microsoft Outlook email system i.e. will I see sent and received emails in my Outlook account?
Will Docusign allow me to create a document where the recipient can fill out a questionaire? I want to be able to ask questions and they will need to type in their answers. Thanks
Sofian, as I send the template to various recipients, I would like the document to include the recipient's name in the title of the document. Am I able to add some sort of code to the name of the template such that it adds each recipient's name to the document title? Similar to how you can add each recipient's name to the Email Subject.
Hey Justin, you can’t edit the document from within DocuSign. You need to create a mail merge document for that. Checkout my mail merge or bulk send videos and if you need more help you can book a call with me calendly.com/solusign/vip-docusign-support-1h
Hello, I was wondering if there is a way that you can create a document in Docusign that is totally 100% made in Docusign and not uploaded than added values to later? Or would I have to upload a blank page than create the document that way or just create an entire document in word and than upload for digital conversion in Docusign?
You cannot create a document in DocuSign, unless you want to upload a blank document and use fields to add your text, which isn’t ideal. Short answer would be “no”
How do I create a template that the creator can edit in the set up and then only the signer can add text and /or click appropriate boxes... I cannot find the video for dynamic templates.
I have created a template with those signature prompts. I need to send the same document to several people, but each one needs to be independent. As I am sending each envelope to individuals, Docusign shows a message "waiting for the others" and I am afraid that these won't end up as individual documents. Why does Docusign have that "waiting for other's" message? Thanks for any help.
Hey Sylvia, without seeing your screen it’s a little hard to tell whether you’ve made a mistake or not. Waiting for others just means that they haven’t acted on the envelope yet, but doesn’t tell me if you sent the sane envelope to multiple recipients or individually. Go to your inbox and “sent” folder. You should see if there’s 1 or more envelopes that were sent
How do you use the radio buttons to create a questionnaire with 14 separate yes or no questions? When I put the radio buttons on each question, it shows them all being linked so only 1 question in the list can be yes.
Issue that I'm having now is that most of our clients will be signing these forms via mobile. I have to create literally hundreds of forms because we are a multiservice law firm. I can make the forms look and function great on desktop but when clicking on the recipient view and selecting mobile, the form fields are distorted all over the place. Is the mobile viewer really only intended to be used where theres not much data entry on the client side? I.E. just a signature box and not much else?
Hello Joshua, It’s very difficult to build mobile friendly forms within DocuSign. it’s better to use a mobile form connector such as jotform which is fully mobile to collect info which then feeds data into DocuSign which is just used to collect the signature. I can send you some info by email just email me at sofian@solusign.com
Hey Joy, easiest way is to download the DocuSign mobile app and draw your signature in there and save it. It will then be applied to all your docs moving forward
Hi Mary, when you upload a non-PDF document to DocuSign. It will automatically get converted to a PDF.This is totally normal and there is no way to change this
I have created templates as a Realtor. I have tried to apply the templates to the forms I need them too, however they never apply even after they say they are applied.
Hi Sofian, I need urgent help, If I have 3 signers need to answer the same question by using Radio Button, For Example, If one of the signers select the "Yes" Radio button and others select "No" then I need the Question answer to be as "Yes" for all signers, How can I create a rule to make this condition, Appreciate your quick help
Hi Sofian, i have a bunch of single pdf documents (which i already made earlier using word and mail merge), which i want to send to some receipents. When i see your video about bulk receiptent it does content a blank document and you put some field to fill the form. But, can i have my documents sent in bulk too? I need to send a single copy to 4 persons in one way (while i have around 60 documents to send)
Hi Sofian, need a help, can I sign first and send it for signature? Also if i am sending the same document to multiple people do i need to sign each time?
@@Solusign Help...I have a developer account (thanks to your video) and I'm trying to first. From 'Manage' I selected 'New'->'Sign a document'. I select the template i've created but the template never populates to sign :(
Hi there, Can I pay you to create a template for me? I've got all the forms. But I'm just getting error messages and need a little help converting the form to a usable Docusign fillable form. If you're not available, do you know an IT solutions provider that does this type of contract work? Thanks
Hey Sofian, I have DocuSign and Salesforce connected and am sending a DocuSign document from the standard Contact object. However, the DocuSign Recipient Status is populating on the Account object instead of contacts, and the DocuSign Status is not populating anywhere. Do you have any idea why this is happening and how to fix this? Thank you!
Hey Cherry, Sounds like the mapping is incorrect, you need to go to the integrations settings within sales force and custom tags, then check which salesforce field is mapped to the DocuSign field ;)
No need to watch the entire video. A waste of time. When you are teaching, you should begin with the fact that you are modifying an existing document THEN adding fields to the document in DocuSign. I think it is self-explanatory that you can send the email and add the subject.
