How To Create Brand Account - Brand Channel - if you're a business or serious/growing RU-vidr, then having a Brand Account on RU-vid/Brand Channel is definitely of benefit to you. Move channel to brand account if you have an existing RU-vid channel too. You can have up to 50 Managers at different levels of security and access, and you get further benefits too.
You get better security permissions with a Brand Channel than you do with a Personal Channel. And if you're looking sell your channel as part of your business, you need to set it up as a Brand Channel to do so.

It took me forever to figure out that only brand channel managers can see and edit video content. A personal channel also allows you to create a manager under permissions but they cannot see the video content. RU-vid should NOT have that! Super confusing for beginners!

Quick question - do you need a brand account to have a custom URL now? I have a personal account that fits all the criteria, 100 subscribers, 30 days old etc... but the custom URL option isn't showing. Seems like you would need those to determine if your channel is what people are looking for since engagement is kinda key too, ya know?

When I transfer my existing from personal to a brand channel, does my subscribers, video views, video likes and monetization eligibility also deleted? One of my other channel is eligible for monetization with over 17K subscribers, 1.8M lifetime views and lifetime watch hours of 240+ hours.

Also in my settings there are prompts for adding moderators, etc .. It seems like mine is a brand channel... But then I saw a button asking me if I wanted to move my channel to a brand channel!?? That threw me off!! I'm confused. How to tell if it's already a brand channel? And is they something you can just set up when you sign up and be done? Like you just said? Thank you.

Must create the new brand account under the personal Gmail, even though intentions are to handover/move it to someone else's (different Gmail?) as a brand account? Or create the branded account under the new owner, then move from the old owner Gmail to the new branded acct under the new owner's Gmail?

I'm confused about the purpose of this even though I've watched tons of videos on the subject. Does this process only apply to people who want to move videos from a personal account to a brand account? For example. If I create a google account, then create a personal youtube account from that, then I create a brand account and use that for uploading videos, do I still need to do this process? In other words, If all of my videos were uploaded on my brand account, is there any reason to move my personal channel to it?

Hi, i open the channel according to the guidelines but apparently it became a personal instead of brand. When you create a channel how do you make sure that you make it brand and not personal. it seems the same process to create both. so what is the difference?

Hello David, I just tried to move my older channel to a brand, just like you showed us. After finishing every step, I got notification to wait about 10 minutes. After waiting I tried to loggin into my account and I got this: "An error occurred while attempting to create a RU-vid account. Please try again later.". Now I not able to enter my youtube channel. Did you experience similar problem and do you know how to resolve this? Thank you in advance!

@@magmaandfrosty6340 I log in into my channel from RU-vid Creator, and it worked! At first my channel was restricted in a way that I could only watch videos, but not see my channel studio, my subs, etc. After that, couple a days has passed and now everything seems to work fine. I don’t know if it mattered that I signed up through Creator or it just took a while for the channel to refresh… Then i waited 7 days to become the primary owner and that’s it. Hope it helps.

No, is the main account, the brand accounts depends from main. Each brand accounts collect own data on RU-vid separately. Main account is alike as their mother of brand accounts. The earnings on the main account to your Google Pay.

I wish I saw this earlier I downloaded, re-uploaded to new channel and deleted on old channel EACH video. Hi, I have an issue with Sonos linking to RU-vid Music as Sonos will not link to a Brand account. Problem is I don't have a Brand account. I do however have one Channel with a video I needed to upload of my son playing a piano practical exam during Covid lockdown. My channel was demonetized many years ago and I have never been able to get it reinstated despite countless efforts. RU-vid says it’s out of their control because it’s actually AdSense that canceled my account and since it’s the same email connected to my RU-vid channel, there’s nothing they can do. Would moving my channel to another email account allow me to reapply for monetization since it would now be connected to another email address? I do have a new approved Adsense account so that isn't an issue. However, when I go to monetization under RU-vid Studio, it currently says I am not eligible. Any help would be greatly appreciated more than I could ever express in this comment.
