Step 1: Login to GoDaddy
Go to GoDaddy & sign in to your account.
After signing in, click ‘My Products’.
Step 2: Create an Email Forward
Click “Additional Products” & then click ‘Redeem’
Create a forward, by clicking ‘Create Forward’
Then enter the business email address that you want to create
And then enter your email address to which you want to forward your emails & click ‘create’
Step 3: Check the DNS Settings
Go to ‘tools’ and click ‘server settings’
You’ll now see an error message saying,
To fix this, you need to go to your DNS settings page.
Login into your account & go to DNS and add the correct server settings.
But You'll not be able to send emails from your business email.
To do that you need an SMTP server from smtp2go.
Step 4: Set up an account on smtp2go
Go to: smtp2go.com & click ‘Try for free’
Create your account & then you’ll reach a page
where you’ll get a username and password.
Step 5: Add the SMTP details to Gmail
Go to your Gmail account ► Settings ► Accounts and Import ►‘Add another email address
Now, choose a ‘from name’ This is the name that will appear in your emails.
Then enter your business email in the email address box & click next
Now enter username and password. To get it,
Go to smtp2go and copy & paste the username and password.
Enter the port as “25” and click ‘add account’
Now, verify it with the verification code.
That’s it! This is how you can create your business email for free.

I don't usually leave comments, but I have referred to this video a number of times. Although I have a hosting account with Bluehost makes no difference. What is important is how to configure Gmail and SMPT2GO which is consistent. SMPT2GO has been updated slightly since the video making it easier to copy and paste the CNAME scripts. I would also like to add that you have a clear and thorough way of explaining step by step what to do. Well done you.

One other issue that may make SMTP2GO to keep blocking your emails after initial 48 hrs (review period) is if your Godaddy Website is "parked" or "New". They want to ensure this isn't a cover for spamming. To fix it, use 'Submit A Request' at top of the SMTP2GO main page to open up a support ticket. They responded to me in less than half hour with 3 questions about my business. Once I responded they unlocked my account quickly. Be Careful not to use the blocked email to respond their questions because obviously your email is blocked and your message doesn't get to them. Instead use their page "Submit A Request" and respond to the same ticket. It works fine.

Good Video!!! 🙏. I just have one thing to add. It may help others. At the end of video for the "Via Sent By" step. In my smtp2go senders domain DNS records panel. It did not list any "Types" as (text). It only list "CNAME". So while in the Godaddy DNS config panel. You do not need to add the first (entry add) as type "txt"....instead Add it as CNAME and then the entire host name instead of just the website name. By entire it should be a "letter&number.@yoursite" Other than that, everything else should work. Of course this may be different for others, but i just thought i would add to the conversation. It may help someone out. Again, thanks for your video.

For those who are getting the error message :550 that smtp username's account is not allowed to send while trying to send a mail You will need to go on godaddy.com and add 3 more DNS that will connect your godaddy domain and the SMTP2go You will find the required DNS information to be added in the SMTP2GO webpage under Sender domains. It will work instantly after this

Go to the SMTP to go page, under settings to the left you will find "sender domains". Click on it and you will find 3 DNS informations there. Now go to your godaddy page (where you have previously added DNS settings) and add these 3 DNS there, it will work instantly

If you don't have access to a cpanel, then you can follow this video. These are the 2 most common situations where you might not have a cpanel (and you can follow the steps in this video to get your email): 1. You have purchased 'managed wordpress hosting' from godaddy (like we recommend in our videos), instead of regular linux hosting. 2. If you only own a domain name and have not purchased a hosting account. In these 2 situations you can use the method shown in this video, to get your business email.

I too have the problem of verifying SMTP for the last part (to remove sent via). I later have the problem resolved. If you watch the video carefully there is a note at TXT Hostname. Instead of using the domain name I change it to @ and there is also a note below the CNAME Hostname. I removed the domain name just after the word domainkey. It works after that.

Everything was going well until I actually added my new domain in Accounts and Import in Gmail. It added the account but it just wouldn't send any emails from it. I keep getting this error message: 550 that smtp username's account is not allowed to send. EDIT: I finally just followed the last steps of the video and it worked. But it took me about an hour before I figured out that this is what I needed to do, because on the video it was working fine without these steps lol. So yeah, you need to add the domain and then add the entries into the DNS page on GoDaddy. Also, I used the alternative host names (the ones that are after Some providers require entering...) because with the first ones I could not get them to verify.

I think this needs an update to save confusion. Seems like SMTP have updated their verification process. i am not getting the TXT field but i managed to verify 2 CNAME fields. There is also a link field that needs verification which I have to speak to chat but to see what this for. the video needs an update because what was meant to be quickly ended up being an hour long to figure out myself.

@@jamie1614 You have to go on chat with them. What they explained to.me is the CNAME field.is just a new name for the TXT field. So follow the CNAME value until you get them both green (if it is not showing as green try refresh go daddy and then check again ) and then speak to chat and they will verify for you which will bypass that link question. Hope this helps.

It worked out for me, just 1 week ago, contact smtp2go support, ask them to enable send emails, they will ask you why do you want this service, u have to answer that u will only respond some clients that u will recibe emails from, that's it, the ultimate final step missing on the video haha

i'm having the same problem...further research indicates that Netgear equipment doesn't allow it. looks like we need to change the smtp server address somehow.....Anyone have the answer?

i had the same issue but all i did to fix it was close the page and then open a new tab, then if the additional products section is empty just google "workplace control center godaddy" on google, click the first link and it should bring you back to the page :)

This is not possible anymore. They don't give redeem code for forwarding when you buy a domain. And there used to be a way to get it for 3 bucks by buying legacy package or something but now thats also removed. So its impossible to follow this video and get free business email.
