This was an amazing tutorial on this. It really brings your Google Site to life, rather your a teacher or not, this was an amazing tutorial. Thank you for sharing this.
Great, helpful video! Just FYI - Teachers can upgrade to a FREE Canva Pro account by using their school email. :) Then the backgrounds can be downloaded as transparent. They'll also be able to upload any fonts they'd like to use for their designs. :)
Hi! Thanks for watching and commenting. I think the program I used is the free version of Flashback. It's not the best screen recorder but it gets the job done.
It's hard to say for certain without being able to see what is happening on your end. Save your images as PNGs. PNGs usually appear clearer than JPEGs. Hope this helps!
When I want to save my buttons from canva, it keeps saving as zip even though I chose JPG or PNG. Can someone help??? 😩 edit: I got it. If u have the same problem, u should seperate the download and make them in seperate files. It's a lot of work but I need it to work anyways
After creating my new google sites, i couldn't find the "edit button" usually located on bottom right corner of the screen. How do i edit my website again? Thanks for helping!
Hi! Thanks for watching. Usually, when I want to edit a site, I go to sites.google.com and make sure I am logged into my Google account. When going to that URL, you should see a page that lists all of the Google Sites you have made. Click on the one you want and it will immediately take you into the editing mode for that site. Hope this helps!
Ha ha ha nerds! Im using this information to make a unbvlocked gamin website!!! LOL LOL, everyone here is bad teacher. Wuts ya gonna do. SUSPENDE mE LOL

Thanks for watching and for the kind words! Please feel free to share this video and our channel with other educators. We are trying to reach as many educators as possible, especially during this difficult transition to virtual learning.
Great tip! I was able to create a button that is readable. (The text on the built-in Google Sites button is 11 point and cannot be increased, with a color scheme of black on olive green (my site's theme colors). Using Canva, I made a rounded green shape with white text in a large font, saved the image and added to my Google Site with a link.
Hey! Make sure to watch the whole video. I do share tips throughout for ensuring that your custom banners and buttons display properly on mobile devices.
Hi Angela! Thanks for watching. Canva is not a sponsor of this video. I've tried a few different options for customizing my Google Sites and have found this one to be the easiest to use and most professional looking.
Hi Pirata! Thanks for watching and commenting. I definitely recommend using Canva to create your headers and buttons. I have tried many other programs and ways of doing it and Canva is definitely the easiest way to make your Google Site look professional. I'm sure your students will love what you create!
Tu eres innovadora, creativa, y evolucionas. Me encantas. Siempre regreso a tu canal en busca de nuevas ideas. I LOVE YOUUU 💖 THANKS FOR BRING US YOUR KNOWLEDGE 🌹🌹🌹😘

Nice tips! I really love on how you teach to manage Google Sites. At the same time, it is so good to see you using free elements in Canva to make it look interesting. Some people said that they are not be able to make it interesting because they cannot use some attractive elements from Canva. I am going to share this video with them. You are very inspiring. Thank you so muchh!!!
With a customer banner ,its much easier to add the text "Welcome" within google sites not within the banner text will resize and stay center when in mobile. You can change the anchor position of your image to show the parts you need. Top bottom, right , left etc . When using buttons allow small margin, padding to all sides of your images before saving to avoid clipping.
Great Video! Can we center the Header menu? because right now when we publish our site Header menu is on the far right hand side and logo on the far left hand side
Thanks for watching and commenting. If you clicking the settings cog to left of the header, you can change the navigation to "top" or "side." At this time, if you have the navigation set to the "top," it will automatically go to the left-hand side. Google is always making updates though so maybe this is something they will update in the future.
Hi! Thanks for watching. I am happy to help, but I am not certain what you are looking for. Do you want other teachers to be able to post homework assignments to the same Google Site or are you looking for ways for students to upload their homework assignments? If you're looking for ways for students to upload assignments, I recommend using Google Classroom.
@@phubdorji6806 Google Sites are more of a way for teachers to present and share content with students. At this time I do not know of a way students can upload their work through a Google Site. You could provide a link on the site where students can go to upload the work through Google Classroom. Then, they would only need to click and would be take immediately taken to where they can upload the assignment.
@@javalearner4227 Canva has free and paid options. I created the site in the video using all the free options. I think there are plenty of free images on Canva to be able to make a beautiful site without purchasing anything. In the video, I show how you can tell which images are free and which are paid.
Does anybody know how to create a plain box? not a button, just a box where you can put text inside. I saw a difrent person do it, so i'm sure it is possible.
Hi! We have another video here on the channel where we go over the basics of creating a Google Site, including adding textboxes. You can find that video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RL0BeWlth04.html
Hi Vestal! Thank you so much for sharing. This has been very helpful and I love that your explanations are clear and concise. Thanks again!! Keep up the good work. Love from Malaysia
