Aw, so glad to hear that. I'll be posting some newer videos of the process from 3D to real world production. Should be pretty interesting, hopefully :)

I'll be on the lookout for that!! Do you have any recommendations for importing and syncing slopers made in illustrator and conforming them to the CLO measurements? I'm trying to figure out a workflow... That's a lot to ask but perhaps you do!! Thanks anyways for such great instruction.

@@madelinegrudens Are you using an .Ai file or a .DXF?

Thanks so much for getting back to me I really appreciate it! I guess I'm just trying to figure the best way to convert my slopers and I just saw that a clo update now lets you create a modular library of your own styles so when they come out with training that might be the best way to go. My thought was that I want to conform my slopers to clos measurements but I spent time yesterday making a spreadsheet comparing their measurements to mine and coordinating which astm set matched mine. I'm going to figure it out somehow but I realize I didn't really know how to explain it until I thought through the steps... I'm new at clo!! I'll keep watching you though and try to figure out a workflow somehow!!! Any tips and tricks would be appreciated!! Thanks again!

Thank You so much for this helpful and also very well explained video. Since I use Photoshop and Clo3d for quite a long time now, I always struggled when trying to create my own fabric textures ;o) Well, that time seems to be over now...please keep on Your great work and stay healthy. Best regards from Germany

This is really good thank you. This video can also be used as a way to make seamless patterns from pictures in photoshop. I did my first ribbed knit fabric using this tutorial and it turned out ok.

OOh, I wish I could see how it turned out. Too bad they don't allow pictures in the comments. I'm glad to hear the video could help and thanks for taking the time to chat!

Haha, it takes forever to get some weave/knit repeats to a good spot. Thanks for the kind words, let me know if you have any questions about the process and I can try to help!

@@vanhertenouterwear I actually have a question how do you custom a fabric with transparency such as lace for exemple ? Do you have the same process ?
@vanhertenouterwear
@vanhertenouterwear Год назад
@@lilyd1149 Yes, use the same process but you will add another map. For transparency in any fabric, you add an Opacity Map. Apply this to the "Opacity" line in the same area of the Property Editor with all of the other Maps when your fabric is selected. The opacity map is a simple black and white jpeg or png. Anything black will be fully transparent and anything white will be fully opaque. Hope that helps!

Thanks for this video, it is very helpful . Could you please share a video for denim wash fabric repeat, texure, normal map & displacement map making ?which will be very helpful for denim supplier.
@vanhertenouterwear
@vanhertenouterwear Год назад
I don't currently have a video for that, but for denim, the best appearance for denim will come from UV maps. This is different than the texture/normal/displacement maps. Look into UV Maps.

Hi this Adaora (previous student😆), this video was very helpful. How would one go about rendering power mesh in the CLO system? I hope this message finds you well.
