Wix Question Answered: How To Create Custom Forms on Wix?
In this Ascend by Wix Tutorial, we dive into the best way to create custom forms in Wix. There are two main methods to creating custom user input forms inside of Wix. Between Wix Forms and Corvid Forms. Wix Forms is a pre-built Wix application that is native to Wix and integrates into all of the Wix apps. Corvid forms are custom developed and give you freedom to utilize the data and collect the data in whichever manner you'd like.
Should you use Wix Forms or Corvid Forms?
This is a fantastic question. Wix Forms are the easiest to use and roll out on your website. They are especially nice, because they come pre-set to integrate with additional native Wix apps without any additional development labor. However, they don't give you the complete freedom that Corvid Forms would. I would recommend Corvid Forms when you are custom developing a platform. It gives you more control over how you collect and display data.
Utilizing this tool is just the beginning of all the amazing features you have access to on Wix. Although, if you have never used custom forms in Wix, I would highly recommend giving this a shot. It could truly enhance your site member or site visitors experience.

Great video. Is it possible to create a potluck signup? We want to be able to use the same page each month that allows people to sign up and list what they are bringing. Then use the same page each month but change the theme And allow people to signup again and list what they are bringing.

I pay extra for Ascend and making my first (very simple) form has been so glitchy it's unusable. The form automatically put six thank you message pages with a "continue" button before my form (which is one page). They do not show up in manage forms and there is no way to delete or remove them.

Hi there. Are you still responding to this feed? I have a wix website that is already built. It looks like I have ascend now. However I still need help to have an upload button work. I do not see anything that is uploaded from a visitor to my site?

I use quote form but it only allows me to create up to 7 input field... I tried to create more fields to connect in database but the additional fields don't get collected. Not sure it bans that in order to ask people to upgrade to their plan....

I want to create a member registration page to collect information on who is a member of my union. I want to collect name, adress, phone number, email, and reason for becoming a member. How do I know which plan is the Ascend plan bc it does not say that when I look at your plan options side by side. On the dashboard it reads “ascend plan: free” so is that what I have or not bc I cannot seem to link this form to accept payments bc it keeps asking me to upgrade. Corvid Forms is just custom forms...very similar to Wix Forms. Wix Forms just has much of the development already completed

Nice video, thanks. Just a side note: I've used Google forms in some of my sites. You just gotta copy the embedded code. The main plus is that you have the integration of Google but you don't have the cool features of wix forms. Thanks again.

Hello, thank you for your tutorials. I am trying to create a project submission form. The only problem I run into is having the user submit a .zip or .tar file. You would need to a "Submit" then a re-direct either to a lightbox with a form or to another page with the form.

You have to go into your mobile editor and adjust the text.
