If you spent a long time writing the document, but then you're stopped by 20$, either you don't value your time at all or your idea is not worth even 20$.
I have been following you since your chatGPT fine-tuning video from February. It's crazy to see how quickly you grew. It is very good to see your Journey and be part of it.
Hi Liam, i really appreciate the effort of putting out this video. I had one request can we get more videos or tutorials on the call function.? With the assistant API introduced I think it's a very important subject to have knowledge on.
Thanks for the cool idea. It's a bit annoying that users will need to be paying for GPT Plus ($20/mo) AND have access to GPTs in order to use this. I've created some GPTs just to have a couple dozen Twitter followers reach out to tell me they can't access them yet and so they can't use mine. I also worry about the hurdle of getting business owners (like solar businesses) to pay $20/monthly per sales rep to maintain a GPT Plus account to use this GPT.
Seems like a really slick way of OpenAI driving revenue by forcing you to be a ChatGPT Plus subscriber to even use or create a GPT! I noticed this after I created mine and sent a link to someone and I also view the link in private browser window and it says: "Sign up to chat Requires ChatGPT Plus". So this kills any opportunity for discovery since it's behind a paywall 🤔
I think $20 is pretty reasonable for how ridiculously powerful GPT4 with Bing, Dalle and code interpreter is for everyday use. Think we have gotten a bit desensitized to just how ludicrous this tech is I’d pay $200 per month for it or more, without GPTs
I'd like to see an example of "custom actions" in GPTs that provide new functionality. This example is obviously best done using a traditional app where you plug in the data because that ensures all the required data is properly captured. What can I do with GPTs and custom actions so that it leverages this new functionality to provide utility that did not exist prior?
Wonderful value as always, Liam! Curious why you used replit and custom coded. Is there a disadvantage here to those who don't inherently know how to code? Can these inputs be provided by text without code? Very exciting stuff, hope to see this work for my clients as well
I wanted to show how easily you can setup a proper custom action. This is where most of the value will be created when selling to businesses, it’s important you all know how it works with a basic example like this
I'm a software engineer and been coding in python for years, like Liam said you dont need to really worry about the syntax that much as long as you understand where the true value for you customers is. So no there isnt really a disadvantage it just helps explain things in a deeper level if you have some coding background.
Hey Liam , Great Video and Awesome Insights . I had a question , can we call this Custom GPT as an API into Chatbots like we do for Stack AI , If we can then it's a game changer .
What do you recommend for actually selling this as a service? Is it possible? Presumably there are still people out there who would pay for this kind of thing even if it’s got an easy interface.

great video ,thank you , i've learned so much from you channel mate , what kind of software/program do you use to film yourself and the screen for these videos ? good quality
Thank you for quickly introducing useful information. I'm planning to try this with my students, but I hope they'll also publish a tutorial or book with examples. Books can be read quickly and easily in Amazon Kindle format. Please.
Thanks for this. I've had a go at making my own GPT, but can't make it public because it wants to confirm my domain name - so I have put the txt code it gave me against my primary domain name in shopify, which provides my domain name - and it's just nor working still so I'm totally stuck :(
Hi Liam. Thanks for the video. Thats awesome. The only problem I see with these GPTs is that for someone to use it (an any user) needs to have a GPT4 Turbo account. Is that true?
Thanks, I got this working since you just posted this video but just today I got an error "Error talking to" when gpt tries to call certain actions through the schema. I contacted support and there is no bug from their end. Wondering why the schema no longer works.
I was able to build the same GPT by using this create "a GPT that will use the uploaded document as a database to ask questions", without any code. I was able to get same responses for the query? What is the advantage in coding using replete etc?
How could I offer them to a client? 1. should i just send them the link to the bot and they place it on Their website? 2. make them their individual chat GPT Plus subscription and they access it through their own account? I thought about it, But have not come up with a proper Solution yet
At least for right now there is a limit to how many questions you can ask your gpt so I’d say give them their own account and add the 20 bucks to their monthly fee
Say if I want to create a customer service / general FAQ and use a website as a knowledge base , using gpt store to create . I get the message public actions require “ valid public policy urls “ . Is there a list of urls somewhere that are available t to use to the public for prototype models or something , or what does this mean ? Many thanks
Can this process/setup be used to start something besides solar? Would love to build a custom chat bot I would use specifically for call summary during a live sales call to push out some script???
I've got my custom assistants set up and running. PLEASE help me with setting up the added functionality of sending the chat transcript to the client. I've generated the code with the help of Chatgpt, created the Gmail account and set up the app password. But I can't get it setup in voice flow. I'd REALLY appreciate any help with this. Thanks a lot man!
Hey Liam, just wanna get ur thought onto this function. I have tried importing two 200 pages document to create a new custom model, but the performance has being pretty disappointing, the wait time between every query is also obnxiously long. How do you see this new beta function and would you say LangChain is still the way to go to process multi-pages document?
Love your tutorials. Quick question on your schema for custom actions, is this a template that I can adapt for my actions? Or would I need to build my own set of codes based on the GPT I'm trying to build?
Schema is just instructions on how to use your custom functionality, you can create your own Replit with different functionality, give that to ChatGPT and tell it to create a OpenAPI spec in the same format as {insert my example schema} Will generate you a new one for your app! Make sure it’s in JSON and not yaml
Hey Liam, love that you made such a clear and easy to follow video. I am stuck on the step where you open the Repl in a new tab. The new tab says "Repl Unavailable" and "This Repl is really popular." Then, that site changed to say "Run this Repl to see the results here." When I go to paste this URL into the action schema, I get an error from ChatGPT which says "None of the provided servers is under the root origin [my custom URL] Server URL [my custom URL] is not under the root origin [my custom URL]; ignoring it" I don't have a coding background, any idea what's going on? Eager to learn and get into the AAA community...
seriously where can I build this gpt, I go to open AI but I only find shittier version of that what doesen't even have all the same possibilitys. I'm actually lost, could somebody help
If anyone was wondering if the person in the video is real, no he is not. Hes an AI simulation. Quite impressive and the quality is close to life like. Ai teaching us how to us Ai.
It's over...Teach them how to navigate the pace of Ai and make money long term. You lot had a nice run, and yes, some will stil make money, but be real, they've just showed you how quick they can wipe you out or disrupt your business model. It isn't sustainable, as you are basing it on businsses not be aware or capable of implimenting a bot, but now they can, very easily, no tech involved. The admire you guys, but the scrambling by you and others in this sector to upload videos in the last 12 hours is clear.Teach your audience long term.
So businesses are going to build these GPTs for themselves? If you think that is the case, you haven't looked into the Assistants API which is where the actual implementation is happening...
lol, there are like half of the world's population or even more who haven't heard or used GPT at all and you're worried about this. Just build and sell. There is a space for everyone for now!
Your videos are great. However, I know you have said that you do not need code to be successful in AAA. I feel like this video would make me think otherwise. And if you did think it was necessary, what would be the language you think is most important? What services are still viable for someone who has not learned code yet if you don't think it's necessary?
