Great advices! I wish other compression plugins have expansion as well by default.. How do you handle bass in these situations? Do you have high pass filter on Double bass or synth bass for those hits to come forward...or perhaps mide-side eq? I often hear deepest frequencies in the bass along with deep sub trailer hits (not really separated). Not sure how this is manageable for both to fill in the sub bass so well...I doubt that side chain is being used here..
