This is an introduction to the idea of using bubble to create an account with multiple users and make sure that other accounts users can not see that data.
This is a great tutorial for manually filtering information by CompanyID. I think users would also benefit by reading the Bubble documentation about Privacy Rules. Privacy rules may cover most people's SaaS needs without needing to add the filtering code for each query lookup. Filtering by user or company becomes "set once and forget".
Hi, can you elaborate on this? Are you suggesting the steps in this video are not necessary, and that the separation between company data for a SaaS product can be handled in the Privacy Rules? Would appreciate your thoughts before I set this up, thanks!
@@MakotoShibuya Yes, hello. That is exactly what I am saying. The Privacy Rules in Bubble are amazing for giving database-level security to be sure your users only see the data that pertains to them. You may need to add fields to each transaction table if you want to group users together in a company. See ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1-meIeBUXPY.html
Nice tutorial. Thanks for the work. I was watching this video at 4:20am with everyone in my house asleep. For a good 10 minutes, I thought someone was trying to prank me or a ghost was in the house due to the background noise. I kept stopping the video to see what was going on around me until you mentioned on the 4:26 time mark about your dog in the background then I was relieved. Hahah
@@soruze227 no worries sir. I had piece of mind once you mentioned that in the video and could focus. I'm still watching the video. Almost done. Loving it
Hi Soruze - Really nice tutorial ;-) but I am getting stuck in the middle - Can I hire you to set up our company accounts - related users and belonging data as shown in this video? we have made all datatype and field layouts. You only need to set up one content datatype (database) then we will set up the rest following your method.
Amazing tutorial, how can add custom permissions to users in each company? For example Joe in company 1 can edit and read but Joe in company 2 only can read using yes or not. This is very helpful! And thank you for awesome content.
you could create "roles" this would be a field on the user. then you could create a show/hide feature for buttons. as example if user 1 has level 1 access button A would be viable. If user 1 has access b the button would not be visible.
This seems to show how to assign fake users to accounts not real users. At 4:07, the "User" type isn't shown in the dropdown, so how could we create a real user and assign them the correct CompanyID?
This would be similar to a sign up page, but you would want to have a company field listed that they fill out. Then after they log in when they are inviting others to the account you would just use the workflow of Account>create account for someone else> the in their profile you would have the company ID be the company ID of the user who created this new user.
do you know how to create a project management software that allows multiple users to create individual accounts each with the own boards and tasks, sort of like trello?
What's the use case for having 2 databases? This video might help you understand storing and using data. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-54CW6B-8sG8.html
@@soruze227 Actually I want to store user details when they logged in and after that I want to store user details who clicked on my links which I provide in my page.... Actually this application is regarding placements and training..
@@pavanimallemputi5980 add fields and Inputs to users. Then on you links create a workflow that adds current user to a list of users. You could even create a "thing" called clicks and then in that "thing" store who clicked, when, and specifically what link.
When the user logs in their user profile will already have the company ID designated. So the data would automatically be filtered. The drop downs don't all have to be there. They exist in this scenario for showing how you can separate their data by their companies.
@@bhuralal5299 you filter any query for data by the company id of the user. All data attributed to that company should also have that company id. This allows you to refence the users company id as a filter. Company id= user's company ID
