Appreciate your generous sharing of knowledge. About the element numbering, you mentioned new elements in a new figure are from 300 to 3xx. Must the numbering be contiguous from first to last elements in all figures ? Or for ease of description can we start every figure with a new set of number range eg. Fig 1 with 100 to 199 and fig 2 with 200 to 299 and so on so forth and figure one can end at 198 but figure 2 still starts from 200? And must we start numbering from 1? Can embodiment or invention be numbered from 1 or it can be any number? Can I embodiment reference number contain alphabets ? I believe except for figure numbers, reference numbers of elements can contain alphabets eg. 1a 1b
The numbering scheme I proposed is simply a suggestion to keep order and to help a reader follow the spec. You can do just about anything, Numbers need not conform to figure numbers, alphabet characters can be included, no order is demanded.
That was nicely explained...but can u tell me which 3d modelling software is good for patent drawing....? Thanks .. I'm using SketchUp as a beginner...
