I've been an artist for 15 years and I have essential tremors (constant shaking hands) and this is a godsend for my digital work. I still practice on physical medium so my muscle memory gets finer tuned, but things like very light strokes were near impossible for me an very embarrassing in art school.
same, but i have adhd and my medication makes me a bit more relaxed but i get energy and it cant like get out so i shake always and idk if i have that thing u have but i know my mum does so i think theres a chance i have it and i also always shake on paper this isnt that much of a problem but digital it is my lines just go to left right all over
hey can you help me on where to find it? I mean, recently my Photoshop got unconfigured, and I can't activate the stabilizer / smoothing, you say I have to activate it in the brush settings? where exactly? and sorry if it bothers you, i really need help with this 🥺
Your explanation of how friction produces stabilisation and the sensory technology of the hardware make cause wobbly lines was such invaluable insight. I'm a person who likes to understand a problem and how a solution fixes that. Thank you.
Well done tutorial, and thank you! I'm glad Photoshop added this feature, as it makes someone like me who has a very "sketchy" style able to make digital art that looks crisp and clean, without the need of third-party softwares.
The catchup to end works fine with tablet, if you turn of pressure it will do same as with mouse. Quite handy actually. Really a nice feature this Smoothing, i wished the following mouse had a cursor as well. Now you sort of need to watch 2 things at once
I have been using photoshop for a while now but never knew about this feature! I’ve been struggling with creating smoother lines when drawing and was wondering if there was a way to make it easier and this might just be the feature for me! Thank you so much for this video, it was very informative :)
This is definitely what I thought. Photoshop was my favorite tool but it was always missing this feature. Now that it has it, there is no way any other software will beat this.
Paint Tool SAI still has a better brush engine and paint engine, also the line stabilizer is still better. PLUS editable vector lines. Photoshop is a good all around graphics tool, but for digital art, it's probably the worst.
@@preddyshite6342 Not only is Paint Tool SAI better, but Clip Studio Paint is even better. that means Photoshop is worse than two superior programs yet beginner artists still use it lolz
Ok, I think there's so many apps in markets, that You can use as a resource for Photoshop. I only sketch in Procreate right now, you can get that smooth with no lags and i can export to photoshop for finish or not.
For some reason I can't edit the smoothing. There's no number in the box next to smoothing, and when I click on it, nothing shows up, so I can't change it. Any help?
Will you be able to please tell me how you open Photoshop cc 2018 and begin the selections and layers before you begin drawing? Could you please do a tutorial on that for those who have not used Photoshop before but really draw using paper n pencil n now want to try digital art?

Can I make custom KEY shortcuts for ultra smooth and light smooth like old plugins like Lazy Nezume with this? Thank you!
So my paintbrush is blurry? how do i fix this, I tried resetting the paint brush tool pressing reset and it did nothing. It looks so blurry to me and yours looks so clean
I didn't think you were that into Photoshop, I thought you were only a Painter master. Why exactly would you choose Painter over PS when you want to do a piece of your artwork? Thanks
Is there a way to do this without the delay on Photoshop? Just like in Procreate app... It does have stabilizer but with no delay. I use it on Procreate on iPad and it feels more natural. Once I came back to Photoshop it felt so weird o.O... I'm currently looking for alternatives lol 😂
I am working with photoshop cc 2019 but I don't get the pink line guide that u get when moving the brush tool at 100% smoothing can u please guide how to get that
Hello Aaron im using Photoshop CC 2017 but when i use brush the “smoothing” where u can adjust from 0% to 100% is not showing there’s only “opacity” and "flow", please help
hi I need help that tool its turned off on my photoshop I don't know why it was working hours ago , it doesn't allow me to move this settings HELP PLEASEE!!!
erm.... my smoothing is disabled. When I click the round cogwheel to get to smoothing, I can't do a thing. All smoothing is disabled. Two boxes are checked, but I can't uncheck them. How do I fix this?
I wish lazy nezumi had opt-ins so you could get less functions for less money tbh. Just the rope tool is enough for me and I don't use the rest but it's still 20 bucks or so even tho the rest is just catching dust there
Hi, I'm super late on this but hopefully someone can offer some help. I have photoshop through the monthly subscription on adobe but I don't have this option at the top of my toolbar. I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong. Thanks
