This is the most perfect basket with the best video and explaining! I didn't think I would be able to make something this beautiful, but I did, and THANK YOU!!!! I keep referring back to it making my baskets because I do not want to do it any other way, yours is PERFECT!!!!
Thank you so much! I had never crocheted in the "v" and couldn't understand why my stitches came out different from yours... It took me 10 tries but I finally understood and I'm so excited of how it's turning out! Such a gorgeous pattern! You are a great teacher, thanks!!!
One of the best tutorials I've ever come across. Thank you and well done!!! You deserve more recognition and views for your work. The instructions were easy to follow and the tips were extremely helpful. I followed the tips on not to do two single crochet onto the existing two single crochet to make a bigger basket.
OMG Julia this was so hard for me, but with your help I made a beautiful basket. I backed up so much. And finally got it. I have never done this type of crochet before. My hands and fingers hurt. You did great job of explaining. Thank you!!
I'm very glad that I could help you. I hope you won't stop and every time this crochet will be easier and easier for you :) I remember once I was crocheting something and I was so passionate about the process that I crocheted for hours. And since my hands were not used to it and were not trained, I got pain and I had to take medicine and couldn't crochet for around 1 month. So I've made a conclusion out of it that it's very important to make pauses while crocheting and give enough rest to your hands. And also to make some exercises from time to time.
Hi Julia, I am from Sri Lanka. You are the best teacher for crochet. I was mad to find the right way to make (V). I referred so many tutorials but no one explain the right point. Following this video I made beautiful basket. I have no words to thank you. Keep going with new videos. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Julia, You are a phenomenal teacher! I have NEVER crocheted anything and I followed your instructions step by step and made my first basket!! Wow. Please keep making these videos.
@@CrochetwithJulia can you do a short tutorial on joining the round and showing how to recognize where the first stitch in the round is? I ripped out my first basket sides when I realized it was twisting and think I did it correctly, but I'd love a quickie video on that piece of the process!
Thank you I've been trying a crochet a bowl for ages your tutorial was fantastic your instructions were slow and easy to follow, you are very talented, love it.
Hi Julia,I've been crocheting for over 40 years now, so in the beginning I was a bit impatient, but after a while I realized that I was learning something new and thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the video BEAUTIFUL WORK AND FANTASTIC EXPLANATION, THANK YOU
Hi👋🏻 Thank you so much☺️ Actually when I watch my videos I think 'whyyy sooo slooowly'😅 But I understand that I have some experience, some knowledge, I know basic things about it and that's why I feel like I wanna it to be faster and without all those small detailes. But I make my videos also for those who have never crocheted before, for beginners. And I know how important it is for them to see and hear very detailed and slowly explanations🙂 And those people who are not beginners can just watch those parts of the videos that they need😊
Thank you Julia.you are a brilliant teacher .I tried for about 12 months to understand this technique until I found your page.I got IT instantly. 👏🤸♀️😁
The basket is beautiful. Exactly like I want to make. Your instructions are very clear and precise. Love how you show each step twice to make sure it is clearly understood. Your video shows each step up close so that it can be clearly seen. I look forward to more of your patterns. I plan on making this basket as soon as I get some t-shirt yarn.
Thank you so much Julia! I did mine, and finally I got it. Your instructions are very straightforward and easy to follow! I did one already, and I'm going to do another one.l
Thank you for an excellent tutorial. This is the first item I crochet and thanks to you it is turning out very good. I appreciate all the time and effort you put into making it. I’m making a cat basket with 600g of wool and a 12mm hook.
Sono una persona a cui piace la precisione, hai mostrato delle soluzioni geniali che ti hanno permesso di realizzare un lavoro perfetto! Bravissima! 👏👏👏 Un saluto dalla Sicilia! 👋
Thank you, Julia for such a complete video tutorial. This video is the best. Finally i can make my first basket. Have been searching around the video, i am glad that i found yours. Sending alot of love from Indonesia ❤❤❤❤❤
The best crochet basket tutorial out there. I always come back to it. I'm using it now to make a pet bed! Tha ka so much for your time and patience to create this!
You really are very good showing and explaining everything! You have good pedagogic skills and the basket is really beautiful! I just started crocheting ever and with this tutorial I have been able to make the basket. Thank you very much!
Your precision in explaining the details is PERFECT for someone like me who wants to do it right the FIRST time. I appreciate your time and effort in making and sharing this video. I'm a new fan for life. :o) Q: If I'm planning to make a large basket (for yarn skeins) based on your recommendations for the 7-9mm t-shirt yarn using the 6mm hook, can you offer a suggestion of how much yarn I should plan to purchase?
I'm so pleased to hear that🥰 I'm very glad that my video was useful to you, helped you and you liked it😊 nice to feel that I wasn't doing it for nothing. What the size of a basket you wanna make?
@@CrochetwithJulia I was considering the large one you'd mentioned in your video comments - one that would hold several skeins of yarn...or perhaps toys.
Well, in my opinion 2,5 skeins (100 m of the yarn in each one) will be enough to make a round basket around 30cm diameter and around 25cm height. And I think it will be enough to put there 8 skeins of the t-shirt yarn or toys like you said😊 since you can't buy 0,5 of the skein, you will have 3 skeins and it will be 100% enough for a big basket😊
Excellent video. The verbal instructions were very clear and the video itself was very clear with good lighting and slow, clear video shots. Would love to see a video of you doing this same basket but with a wood base. Thank you.
I've been trying to make this kind of basket for a while and kept messing it up, with this tutorial i finally finished it! Thank you so much, it will be a great christmas present for my mom
Thank you million million times for this perfect vedio 😍 I finished mine and it came out perfectly thanks to you 🙏 bless your hands and the teaching skills ❤️
Julia I went out yesterday to look for the t-shirt yarn to make a basket and could not find it anywhere. I am not sure what I am looking for or where to get it. Can you help me?
Thank you so much for this incredible tutorial! It was sooo hard but I did it! The next for me - is the one with cute cat years. I hope you'll continue making your videos one day! 😻
I have been choosing your videos to watch when making my crocheted baskets. I like each step you show. I have you subscribed and I am slowly catching on. Thank you for your instructions.
One of the best tutorials for making such a nice looking basket! Thank you! If I want to make a slip stitch line in the bottom of the basket, should I make it when arriving to the basket walls or when finishing it all?
Thanks for a great tutorial! I see you have a different joining method in this video compared på the perfect circle video. The result looks the same as I can see. Which method do you prefer?
In this tutorial I show two joinings. In the first row you can see the same joining as in the video about the perfect circle. And from the second row I show another way to join rows. This second way to join rows makes a little seam on the back side of the circle. That joining from the perfect circle doesn't make any seams on both sides of the circle. This is the difference 😊 You can use any way you like. For example that joining from the perfect circle video is a bit hard for some people when they want to unravel it. So maybe they will prefer the second way to join rows. I like to use that joining that doesn't make any seams😊
I like the way you explain and slowly tutorial. It's easy to understand like me. Hopefully you always make another video with various tips, patterns and colorful crochet
What an excellent tutorial. I'm really impressed with the detailed information. I've been looking for a tutorial in English for a baby moses basket using the wooden base but unable to find one. It would be really great if you could do a tutorial on this. On other sites people are pleading for English subtitles but to no avail. I think you would have loads of hits on your site if you were so do one. X
Very good tutorial. Taken pains to make the joints unrecognisable and the basket perfect. It is so good that I am going to open out my previous basket and make it this way to make it perfect too. Thanks
You'd continue with 6 stitches then 2, then 6 then 2(1111112) but you'd need to calculate how many singles you'd start with by counting form beginning to end. You'll find out that you'll end up with 1 2 3 4 stitches at the beginning and you'd make up for it in the end. After each row, there'll be more singles like 6 7 8 9 10 stitches at the beginning before your 2. Hope this helps
Hello Julia, I have just discovered your channel and have subscribed I love how you take your time to show us how to crochet. I was just wondering do you make your own t-shirt yarn or do you buy it, I have lots of new t-shirts that I can not wear due to losing weight, and was wondering if you have a video on how to make the yarn, yours looks so neat and tidy. Many thanks for your tutorials.
