Hi, I so enjoyed making this top. I have never made any crochet. I got very sick and couldn't go to work, and I like to keep busy and I saw this tutorial on the chevron. I finished it and Ilove it. I didn't have quality yard so its made out of wild colors from red heart. It sure is bright! I love it tho. Thank you Crystal,, Your are very awesome at teaching. Also I love the plus sizes, Im a big girl. Please keep them coming.

Great pattern. I’m just starting to do this, and I find it’s much easier to start with a row of foundation sc stitches and then joining with a slip stitch. This helps to avoid the chain twisting.

Oh my Day's, this is so pretty, and you make it look so simply to do, with your clear and patient description to detail, I am making the button up cardi at moment, and can't wait to start this, thank you so very very much for these plus size patterns, I suffer with Arthritis, and Fibromyalgia, and have gained loads of weight due to meds and limited movement, but I still adore wearing pretty clothes. so Blessing to you for sharing the gift of your clever Craft work, thank you :)

I finished this top with a size 3 self striping yarn & it's awesome. I had to make a few adjustments but all worked out. Aftrr the armholes i had to decrease one row at the points to slim down the bulkiness. Thanx so much for this pattern. I took a pic but can't figure out how to attach it.

Thanks for the tutorial! I adjusted the beginning chain to 80 to make the top smaller. The tutorial starts the arm holes after 7 rows, but that did not work for me. I continued the increase rows until I had 9 double crochets leading up to and following the dc, ch2, dc in each point. The arm holes were much more comfortable for me then. Again, thanks so much for the directions to make this cute top!

Yay! I have so much 4 weight! with large # of stitches , I use stitch markers every 10 stitches. It helps if you get interrupted.😂

The basic chain needs to be a multiple of 8... I tried with multiple of 4 and ended up frogging 12 rows I made because the top was asymmetrical 😭😭

I love this pattern & your instructions are spot on. I'm making this with size 3 yarn so having to make adjustments. Only prob so far is my row 7 for arm hole is shorter than yours so I'll need to make more rows. It would be helpful if you gave the inches from neck to arm hole. I'll keep at it until I think it's right. I'll look for your reply. Thx again.

I did 80 chains. To get it right I figured multiples of 8 and fallow her pattern other wise. With the 80 chains I am using a still a size I crochet hook. Hope that helps you out. Also I am a size M

@Phyllis Keil Tausch Hi have you started making it? When I followed Crystal’s tutorial, it fitted a size 16. I used crochet hook 6.5 with the same Aran yarn and it fitted a size 20-22
