How to Crochet a Paw Print Coaster l Step by step Crochet Tutorial

I think this video is long overdue. In this video will (hopefully) show you how to crochet a paw print coaster step by step. I will leave the pattern below so you can crochet along with ease. I hope this tutorial is much better than the previous one.
Materials:
4.5mm crochet hook
medium worsted weight yarn (peaches & cream)
- dark taupe
- white
yarn needle
scissor
Pattern:
US TERM
with dark taupe yarn
magic ring
R1. ch2, 15 dc in ring
sl st ch2
R2. ch1, sc same st
[hdc, dc] same st
2tr next 2 sts
[2dc,hdc]
sc next st
[hdc, dc]
[dc, tr]
[tr, dc]
[dc, hdc]
sc next st
[hdc, dc]
2tr next 2sts
[2dc, hdc]
sc next st
sl st to 1st sc
f/o weave ends
with white yarn
attach yarn where you just sl st
R3. ch1, sc same st
sc next 2 sts
2sc next 5 sts
sc next 2 sts
sc3tog
2sc next 6 sts
sc3tog
sc next 2 sts
2sc next 5 sts
sc last 2 sts
sl st to 1st
f/o weave ends
with dark taupe yarn
locate the sc3tog followed by 2sc in next st
attach yarn 3 sts back from sc3tog
R4. ch2, 2dc same st
3dc next st, skp3
3dc next 2 sts, skp 4
3dc next 2 sts, skp3
3dc next st, [2dc, hdc]
R5. Turn work
skp2 sts, 3 dc next 2 sts, skp2 sl st into space
* repeat from 3x (total for 4)
sl st to ch2 space
f/o weave ends
with white yarn
attach yarn at the base of small paw print
R6. ch1, sc in ch, sc into the sl st
sc next 2 sts, 2sc next 2sts, fp tr into sc sts(from R3)
* repeat 2x (total of 3)
sc next 2sts, 2sc next 2 sts,
sc next 2sts, sc top of hdc st and sc the side of hdc st.
sl st to the base
f/o weave ends

Round 3: attach white in ss by chaining 1, sc in same stitch, sc next 9 stitches, sc 3 together, 2 sc the next 6 stitches, sc 3 together, sc the rest of the round, cut off, invisible fasten off Round 4: attach brown 3 stitches to the right of the sc 3 together, chain 2, in same stitch 2 dc, 3 dc next stitch, skip 3 stitches, 3 dc, 3 dc next stitch, skip 4 stitches, 3 dc, 3 dc next stitch, skip 3 stitches, 3 dc, 2 dc next stitch, hdc same stitch Round 5: flip work, skip 2 stitches, 3 dc, 3 dc next stitch, ss into big hole, skip next 2 stitches, 3 dc, 3 dc into next stitch, ss into next big hole, skip next 2 stitches, repeat until the end, last ss into last stitch, cut off Round 6: attach white next to the last ss, sc 4, 2 sc next 2 stitches, sc 2, tc into big hole, repeat, cut off I did the best I. In round 3, it shouldn't be 9 sc. It should be ch 1 sc/ sc/ sc/ 2 sc/ 2 sc/ 2 sc/ 2 sc/ 2 sc/ sc/ sc/ sc3t/ 2 sc/ 2 sc/ 2 sc/ 2 sc/ 2 sc/ 2 sc/ sc3t/ sc/ sc/ 2 sc/ 2 sc/ 2 sc/ 2 sc/ 2 sc/ sc/ sc

Also, make sure to add SS/ Slip stitch into chain 2 for round 1, new beginners may not know that or simply forgot that part.

I LOVED making this pattern with you, thank you so much for taking the time to share it with us! I was pleased that following along with you was very easy, as I’ve tried a few other videos the past few days that were a hot mess! Lol!! But this one was great! It might be helpful for others if you consider mentioned stitch counts when needed, and making sure to hold your project up to the camera so your viewer can get a good look at what you’ve just done. I’m generally not a fan of following along with videos, so having extra visual cues and counts can be helpful. But overall, I think any level of crochet enthusiast should be able to follow along with you fairly easily! Going to go check out your other designs, the. Come back and make a full set if these for my adult son’s birthday! Thank you!!

Thank you, this helped me a lot. The other video I watched had me really lost and I’m not a beginner (but still very amateur 😅). I seemed to have an extra stitch on a couple occasions and even though I slowed down the speed, rewound and rewound, I still struggled. Having stitch counts occasionally would have helped me tremendously to follow as intended - or improvise 😊. I did accomplish my first paw and wrote the pattern down as I went so hopefully I can now notate stitch counts (and maybe make revisions to the pattern) . thank you again for your time!

I haven't started this one yet. I had trouble following along on another tutorial & someone helped me fix it. So try this: Go up to setting & slow the speed up. That & the cc made a big difference.

I have basically the same written pattern and was having a hard time figuring it out I turned to your RU-vid and followed right along just had 1 question is where to start the I guess pause or the prince But I just looked But I just looked where it was kind of guessed it come out great. Plus I'm left handed and I followed right along with you and my looks just as good thank Keep on doing this until I learn the pattern by heart

Very easy to follow along. Thank you! It might be helpful to mention to the viewer to put a stitch marker in the "sc3tog followed by 2sc". I'm a beginner and still have a hard time identifying stitches. Otherwise this is a great teaching video!
