Hey…Thank you 😍 To figure out how many balls of yarn you need it comes with time as you continue working on different projects,mostly for big projects like cardigans and maxi skirts you need 8 balls depending on the hook size and the type of stitches for small projects like bikinis just one to two balls. But I would advice you to buy yarn in bulk,Like 10 pieces of the same color. Sure you can always contact me when you need some clarification on any of my projects. Happy Crocheting
For the neck line Take your total number of chain(from the first row)divide by 2 then minus 30. Do rows of single crochets up to the answer you get above.Then chain 60 chains.skip 60 single crochets.join your chains on the 61st single then continue with single crochets all the way to the end. That’s how you make the neck area both front and back.
