written pattern(doing this for my own reference but i’ll be glad if others find it helpful too) make magic ring and ch 3 round 1: inside the magic ring 3dc, make corner( 1 treble crochet), 3dc, 1 trc(treble crochet), 3dc, 1trc, 3dc ss into the top of ch4 (the first corner) round2: ch4, 2dc into that same stitch, 1 dc in the next 3 stitches , corner- 2 dc, 1 trc, 2dc (all in the same stitch) , dc in the next 3 stitches, another corner (2dc,tr,2dc all in same st), dc into next 3 stitches, another corner( yk the drill),again dc in the last 3 sts, 2dc into the ss of the prev round, ss into the top of ch 4 now repeat the process for as long as u want to make it bigger but the number of dc for the sides will inc as u go. for example round 3 will have 7 dc for the side.

Thank you so much for this excellent tutorial! I've come across so many videos where the creator either went too fast and had music in the background or spoke over the music they had in the video and it was very frustrating. You're video is absolutely perfect 👌🏽 no extra background noise and you work slow and explain the stitches which I do love. I would consider myself and intermediate/advanced crocheter but this is my first time working with granny squares. Thank you again! ❤

Good for you! And you’ll find RU-vid very helpful. I began crocheting in 1973 and have learned many crafts but I keep coming back. I learn many new things and save what suits me to my crochet folders - for grannies, hats, tips, different people I like to follow, etc. Also, different methods work better for some people than others. So experiment some. And people hold there hooks in different ways. Find what’s comfortable for you. Okay, I’m not your grandmother so I’ll stop preaching. 😅 Have a blast!

Hi!! This was an amazing tutorial and super easy to follow along. I do have one question- how do you get your seam to lay so nicely along the 4 chain (counting as first treble/ corner)?? Maybe I need to crochet the 4 chain tighter?
@AdoreCreaCrochet
@AdoreCreaCrochet 7 дней назад
Hi! I’m so glad you found the tutorial easy to follow! 😊 For the seam to lay nicely along the 4-chain corner, here are a few tips: Tension: Yes, crocheting the 4-chain a bit tighter can help the seam look neater and prevent gaps. Try to keep the tension consistent throughout. Use a Stitch Marker: Place a stitch marker in the top of the chain-3 to help you keep track and ensure that all your stitches are even. Block Your Project: Once finished, blocking can help even out the edges and seams for a more polished look. I hope this helps! Happy crocheting! 🧶✨

Hi, I've been trying over and over but don't know why my stitch count keeps going out on me. I always count my row before the next but all of a sudden I'm either got one to many or one less stitch.Any idea what I'm doing wrong ? Thanks.
@AdoreCreaCrochet
@AdoreCreaCrochet 18 дней назад
Hi! I totally understand how frustrating that can be. It sounds like you’re doing everything right by counting your stitches before starting the next row, so it could be a couple of things. Sometimes, an extra stitch can sneak in if you accidentally add an extra chain or work into the same stitch twice. On the other hand, a stitch might be missed if you skip over one or accidentally work into the wrong stitch, especially near the ends of rows. One trick is to use stitch markers at the beginning and end of each row to make sure you’re working into the correct stitches. Also, double-checking that you’re not accidentally increasing or decreasing (like accidentally doing two stitches together) can help. Keep at it-you’re doing great! If you need more help, I’m here. 😊

might help to add stitch markers into the corners, even if you're counting right it can kinda be confusing!

Lovely! Great for "holeless" baby blankets. Question: can I substitute a standing dc for the beginning of the round? I'm asking because you use chain 4.
@AdoreCreaCrochet

Absolutely! Using a standing double crochet instead of a chain 4 can give your project a more seamless appearance, especially for baby blankets where you want to avoid any gaps. It's a great technique to try out. Happy crocheting!🥰
