I used red heart #3 crochet thread. It took 6 balls. I used same size hook as she used and same amount of chains and it made a large size

The neck was a little big for me so I just crocheted a tight edging and that fixed it.

❤love your crochet. I found this pattern easy to make for a more advanced crocheter and the pineapples is much easier to not work front to back and cut off for each pineapple but to instead work in complete rows around so no cutting or turning but otherwise the poncho came out very beautiful ❤ thank you, I can’t wait to wear the one I made when it’s cooler here where I live 😊

I am an intermediate crochet person. The body of the poncho was fairly easy to follow; however, the pineapple stitch was quite difficult for me. I slowed the speed of the video and even watched before attempting the pineapple. You never showed the complete stitching (crocheting) of the pineapple. The pineapple stitch is beautiful but I just could not grasp your instruction. I will search on how to crochet the pineapple stitch. Your poncho is beautiful. I have crocheted a very similar stitch like this before but it has been a while since I performed the stitch.

When you start row 17 do you start with 10 double crochets then a regular shell then 10 double crochets because in your video you are making a regular shell.
