I make c2c's for preemies and love this edging! It is one an old woman like me can remember easily and still be beautiful. Funny part is, I am working on Bernat yellow blanket right now and plan to put the Bernat white edging in the morning! My blanket is 16x18. Makes you cry, so I need to try and take care of as many as I can.
I just made my granddaughter a throw out of Bernat Blanket. It was pretty, but needed "something". This border makes it so feminine and increased the size of the blanket. She will love taking it to college with her. Thank you so much! Subscribed too!
I love the C2C blanket stitch. It's an easy stitch for me and I have been creating many baby blankets to be donated to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. My grandson EJ was born at Chop and this is my daughter and my way to give back to them for saving EJ's life. Thank You.

Excellent tutorial I just super sad you didn't show me how to do the corners with the shell. I will have to try to find another video to show me a corner shell.
There is no corner you work the pattern around and when hit the corner just keep working the pattern as stated. I think people misunderstood this pattern cuz your not the first person to say this. Once you get to the corner it will look like a corner because of how pattern is worked

If it's not too much trouble to ask....what is the brand of yarn you are using and what is the weight. Is it light #3. I was looking for a soft baby yarn as wanted to make blankets for 2 babies that my daughter is having....twins. Thanks a bunch.
I don’t know if you’ll see this comment so if anyone else does and can chime in that will be great. I love this border, and have used it for my seed stitch premie blankets, not C2Cs. And while it is really pretty, it does ripple and nothing I do prevents the rippling. Your border is so nice and smooth so I’m wondering if it could be rippling because of the pattern I’m adding it to? The rippling doesn’t look terrible but I would like it to be smooth(er) if possible. Thanks!
It could be from too tight of tension on the border or you may need to add more dc's to it so it won't ripple or go up a hook size for the border, and try medium worsted yarn too.
@@CrochetJewel Thank you for your comment. I just finished another one with your beautiful border and it has less rippling - I think I may have figured out my problem. I plan to keep using this border and I’ll definitely be mindful of my tension while working it as I’m certain that was part of the issue, too. Take care 😊
I like this border. But I have a question. I want to due the first two rows in the cream color that's in my C2C I'm working on, then I want to use three strands (one of each color I used in C2C) for the last row. Do I work it the same way just looser?
after you finished a corner to get up to next row did you do a chain 2 or 3 ? I did the prep border but I did 3 chains between spaces. So do I do 2 dc in the chain area or 3 ??
+the corner, you will sc, ch 3, sc, all in the corner st. Continue in this manner until you've gone all the way around. Then the next round corner, When you reach the corner, you will work 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc. Continue working in pattern until you reach your final ch 2 space. melody maben

For right handlers, If you are looking at your work and the yarn tail end is on your left at the bottom then you are looking at the Right Side. If you are looking at your work and the yarn tail end is on your right at the bottom then you are looking at the Wrong Side
what is the pattern for the blanket? I would love to make it for my daughter who is having twins. I don't know the size to make it for a baby blanket and I'm afraid when I start it, I won't know how to end it with increases and decreases. I think I need help badly. Never did this stitch before. I would like the blanket a square shape.
