i usually have been very frustrated with youtube crocheting tutorials that claim theyre for beginners when in reality theyre not. But this was so easy to follow along and i loved how you had no problem repeating your steps and had the video sectioned into parts! Being able to look at the pattern was also very helpful.
This pattern and tutorial are great! One of the best tutorials I have seen, especially for the assembly process. I have four friends through a cat rescue group that I haven't seen in person since the pandemic began, and I made one for each of them for a breakfast get-together next month. Thank you!!
Thank you so much! That means the world to me!!! I'm so glad you get to see your friends and come bearing awesome gifts! I know they're gonna go crazy for their kitties!!! Squeee🥰🐱Hugs xo
I love this pattern. I've made two of these kitties now. One for my nephew who's cat of 16 years just passed away. I made it with orange yarn because he was an orange tabby. I also gave him a little bell. The other one was for my partner's nephew whose cat passed away 3 years ago from health complications. It was made of grey yarn. Thank you for this beautiful creation and for sharing your pattern.
Oh yay!!!🥰 I'm so glad you love the pattern! That's unbelievably sweet that you make them in the color of the cat that passed, I bet they are cherished and loved beyond measure! Thank you for sharing that, makes my heart so happy! Big hugs to you and a happy holiday season!😘🥰🧶
I would love to crochet with all of you I'm on fb too some of my crochet finished items are on there . I dont have yarn ti do alot with but u try like I said its therapy for me and a way to meet people like yall love and prayer
I love how you explain things. You are the first one that I have seen that makes attaching parts look less scary. I just made my first bunny and the poor thing has a lopsided head. I know that my comment is one year later but I would love more of your videos. I'm determined to create one less crocked.
Thank you Ana! You're the sweetest! It always looks easier when I go back and watch too😂 But it does get easier and easier as time goes on. Thank you again for watching, let me know what you make next!😘
Thank you for making these easy to follow tutorials! I made Domino and decided he needed a kitty friend. You taught me a new way to make an invisible decrease! I appreciate your time and talent! Have a fabulous day! 🧶👏🏼✌🏼🇺🇸
I enjoyed making this so much! My only dislike was the front legs haha, I could not for the life of me get into those 5 stitches. The aggravation was real 😆 I actually skipped the second front leg for now and started working on the back. Will come back later though for sure to finish the other leg haha
Oh yay!! Yes, those front legs can get a bit tough, feel free to add a sc increase to the first stitch of round 5 and then make a single crochet in the next 4 stitches to make a total of six stitches. (ex. R5: inc, sc in next 4 sts {6 sts} Then continue crocheting round 6-11 single crocheting in the next 6 stitches. Just adding that one stitch can help it not be such a pain! I hope that makes sense!!!
Hi I’m not a newbie but not fully experienced n I learned a lot from this video. I can’t believe I sat for the whole thing. Your way of attaching limbs I’m definitely gonna try. Looks easy. Thank you again
Thanks so so very much I so love this tutorial you are so great at explaining what to do. This was my first animal I made and I just found the love of crocheting less then a month ago now

I’m in the process of making it now, I love this pattern! I’m making one for each of my foster kittens forever homes custom to each kitten!!! I would have been so confused without this video (audio and visual) as this is my first time crocheting something besides a scarf or blanket!
Thank you so much....it was fun to crochet along, and yes I agree that those hind limbs were really difficult to make...but everything turned out fine!

@@pamelascrochet2 Oh I'm so sorry! I'm glad crochet has been such a great outlet for you though, it's such a great craft. I don't know much about the yarn, but I did see yarn at a dollar store, you may want to check those out or a thrift shop is also a great place to check for greatly discounted yarn!
Thank you so much for this video! I am a very visual person , so having videos like this helps me enjoy the world of Amigurumi! I just started about a month ago, and videos like this helped me get excited and wants to continue with crocheting. Have you thought about maybe selling video patterns option as well? I know it takes time to make them but it will definitely help a lot of people who are bad at following written instructions (like me)😊. Reason why i haven't bought any pattern for fear that I may not be able to follow it and fail!. I like how you take your time to explain the process as you crochet, plus your sweet mellow voice helps with calming a very agitated nerves for missing a count 😂! Thank you so much and I am looking forward to more video tutorials you will create. P.S. My Cecil is still in the process of being put together, I need to get my apartment cleaned before I tackle the sewing part! But she ( i prefer her to be female )🙃 is looking good for my very first crochet full size with sewing parts Ami. I've done little ones with no sewing needed. Again thank you for this!
Hi Eileen, thank you for your sweetest message! I am such a visual person too, so I was hoping there were others like me. haha Welcome to this addicting world of ami! I've never thought about selling video patterns, what a great idea! I do have the free patterns as well, if you wanna check out my site (yarnsociety.com) so you can read the pattern with the video to get used to reading them. Can't wait for you to put her together, she's a great cuddle buddy🥰 Hope you find more videos you like once you're done with cecil!
Thank you for the pattern and the tutorial,I'm new to making crochet amigurumis but it turns out good😊,you make it easy to understand,I can't believe I finish it well, my daughter loves the cat and name it lizzy😊
@@sarahsargent5902 Oh no Sarah!! I bet though, I don't know why I made those feet so tough🤦♀I bet she's so soft and cuddly though! I've been on the hunt for velvet yarn and am having such a tough time, but when I do find it, I'm totally making one😘 HUGs!!!
Hi Helena! YaY, I'm so glad you liked the video!! Thank you for your kind words and I can't wait to see Kai. Feel free to email me (help@yarnsociety.com) or tag me if you're on instagram. I'd love to see!
I absolutely love this,by the way I’m cat lover and I love crocheting can you do more crocheting patterns really like your explaining and your patterns
This is so cute! I haven't been able to find a cute crochet cat, but this is amazing!! She is super cute, and I will definitely try to crochet her!! Thank you 💗
@@MadiGrace_14 Hey Madi. her head is way bigger than her body but you can definitely take an increase row off if you'd like, just add on an extra row of single crochet instead. I always make my heads bigger and my bodies small. 😂
Yes! You can purchase these pellets called poly-pellets - JoAnnes and Michaels sell them or you can get them on amazon - and place those in the body of the cat to help her stand up. I prefer placing the pellets in a stocking or bag of some sort so they're not loose inside the amigurumi. Then stuff as usual with the weighted pellets at the bottom🙌🏻 Let me know how that goes and I hope your sweet granddaughter loves what you make her!!🥰🧶
