You all probably dont care but does anybody know a method to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the account password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
thank you for this fabulous tutorial.Without it I would have abandoned the project. The written one is impossible to figure out and I have been crocheting and knitting for over 75 years.
You were my very first RU-vid crochet instructor when I was learning to crochet.. can't thank you snuff for all the awesome videos!! Love learning from you very thoroughly explain the patterns which I'm still learning to read.. thanks again for all you do!! Stay blessedQ
Thank you for the wonderful FREE tutorial, Mikey! That you give us crocheters and knitters the gift of your knowledge and patience with difficult patterns , so that we may expand our skills, is just wonderful! I'm self taught and struggle with intricate patterns sometimes, but your tutorials really help. I had to slow the video down for Row 3, but after a few starts and misses, it made sense and the blanket worked up quickly and beautifully. I gifted it to a friend going through chemo and it was much appreciated. Again, thank you for offering your services for FREE (I don't think this can be emphasized enough)!
Enjoy these videos Wanting to learn crocheting and your info and technique is fantastic This is your gift and I'm glad you're sharing it with all of us Talented calm voice and easy pace Thank you
Thank you so much for this video. This is a beautiful blanket! This is my first more advanced blanket, and the video was so easy to follow. I am almost done and will post a photo when it's all finished.
I just want to to tell you how amazing you are Mike. All of your work is jut so beautiful you are the best crocheter that I have came across. I just want to say how much I appreciate your talents. Just so beautiful. Thank you 😊
Video was refilmed using a different colour yarn and also 4 ply worsted. Here are both of the new videos. Right Handed Tutorial is ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jGUz9kFapzI.html Left Handed Tutorial is ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Abz79QvTq4U.html
This tutorial was so well put together and was very easy to follow. I'm going to have to revisit the herringbone concept as I definitely messed up somewhere near the beginning of my blanket haha. It definitely doesn't look right, but that's ok lol
I think this will be challenging however with your step by step instructions I think I can do it. 😊 I will definitely try. Thank you again for your wonderful tutorials.
If you aren't changing colors, why tie off at the end of the herringbone section to start the edging? Why not just turn the work to the right side and go across with the single crochets?
Your tutorial has helped explain this pattern so much! Thank you! I’m following but my herringbones don’t look as sharp and pointy. They look more rounded. Any idea what I could be doing wrong? I have undone and redone it twice and watched your video numerous times. Yours looks so much better (and more like herringbone) than mine.
Dear Mikey. I fell in love with you guys as soon as I discovered your channel and crochet talents. Crocheting is my therapy. It helps me to get into my own bubble. My yarn is my happiness. My joy my peace. I will love to cruise with 🛳 guys. Much love be blessed.
I used 5 balls of the yarn used in this video and that was enough for the blanket without the border and tassells. I am guessing I will need 2-3 more for that.
Beautiful design, can’t wait to finish this one! You helped me learn to crochet a couple of years ago and I just wanted to say thank you for all of your awesome videos :) It’s been so fun making your designs, and you’re so incredibly helpful. I do have a question for you- I’m a little rusty after not crocheting for a year and I’m having trouble with this yarn twisting. Any tips to keep it straight?
@@TheCrochetCrowd wow, thanks for your super quick reply! As I crochet I’m feeding it through my pinky and over my pointer finger, but this bernat blanket yarn keeps twisting as I go. It’s hard to explain in text… but if you have any tips I’m all ears! Otherwise, I’ll just keep practicing :)
I have this actually do in a bag and the seamline is pretty invisible. Check this link out and see. thecrochetcrowd.com/crochet-rising-tides-bag-tutorial/
I love the look of this stitch pattern!! 🤩 This will be one to do for sure. Just subbed and will be stalking and lurking on your channel. 😁😂 Thanks for sharing.
I love love the herringbone stitch. Been looking for a stitch for an easy afghan. Perfect match. Is the 8mm hook small for the blanket yarn? I normally use a 10 or 11.5mm hook for that thick a yarn? What would the differences be? I am still new/learning.
I’m wondering if I have to crochet into the back hump of the chain in the first round, or if it’s just something that will allow me to see the spaces better?? I’m more comfortable going into the front of the chain….will this affect my project in any way?? Someone please help. I’m a fairly new crocheter so I’d appreciate any and all advice! Thanks in advance.
It's a personal preference of mine. I have learned that doing the back hump allows me to have perfect stitch count. However, if you prefer the front, do it. :)
You can add it at the beginning or middle of a row, it won't matter. Use this video for an example on how to change it midway through a row. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-G9_KWXhOV3E.html. Use this video for ending of a row to change over. We have a dedicated playlist of yarn change overs at this link: ru-vid.com/group/PLbHEcdQw1SaSYHTh_jfwHGs1TF-_qLN7I
My chain stitch and the first row keeps curling. I have my tension low to keep that from happening and have changed to a bigger hook and I can’t figure out why it keeps happening. Help?!
Do a gauge check to re-check your tension. Due to only using the right side for the texture, it will curve up a big but that's why you will add those regular rows to the top and the bottom of the blanket to stabilize the roll.
Anyone find after 11 rows that their blanket was way too wide? Just me?? It was (coincidentally) 66in wide😂 Starting over with tighter tension and less in the chain. Tried smaller needle but couldn’t see stitches. Thank you for the tutorial! I tried without and 🤯
Can anyone tell me the color name of the Bernat blanket yarn used for the beige herringbone display used I love the color but need name for ordering, thanks in advance.
