You can learn How to Crochet the Crossed Treble Stitch in this tutorial video. Hi I'm Donna Wolfe from Naztazia. The crossed treble is a wonderful lacy stitch that works great for a scarf, shawl, skirt, and other clothing.
This stitch would look nice for a very lightweight blanket or for curtains too! To do this stitch pattern, you just need to know how to make a chain, double crochet, and treble crochet. I'm using worsted weight yarn and a size H 5 mm hook, but as always you can use whatever yarn and corresponding hook that you wish.

Been doing this for years and I am happy to see it here! This is a good pattern for a lace scarf, cowl or even a shawl, using lace weight yarn and a small hook size, anywhere between 2 to 3mm. Hi Donna. Hope you are staying well over there. I'm hunkered down for the most part except for lots of doctor appointments. I'm going through all my testing and visits with my oncologist and radiation Doctor to check my cancer and make sure I'm still in remission. Have had a lot of issues that are becoming bothersome so everything gets checked and all precautions are being met due to COVID-19. My immune system is very compromised so I'm being extra guarded. So just sitting here crocheting for a while and praying for everyone's safety. Thanks for sharing this tutorial. It's very pretty

Wow Donna. Just wow. You make the most beautiful of stitches so simple to make and in such a lovely way of teaching us. Absolutely love your style. I used to subscribe to a few others and one in particular I wont mention but his patronising tone was such a put off that I just couldn't listen to him any more. You are the Queen of crochet Donna. Ah that's lovely. My mother didn't teach me I simply sat and watched her un beknowns to her. Once she got up to do something , I was about 7 and I finished off the granny square she had started. Then mum knew I liked and could do it. I was given my very own hook and little ball of yarn. I haven't stopped since. I hope your daughter has as much fun as I did and do. With your talent she'll go a long long way. Love from Ireland xxx

This stitch is used in a wrap pattern with not so great written instructions. Had to actually get out the hook/yarn to help a friend figure it out - great video!!!!

It's a really "vintage" stitch. And even the older books (I have some from the 1920s!) don't exactly explain it all that great - especially where to put that last double crochet.
