Lovely pattern - and as someone with dysphasia and who has friends with hearing impairments, silent tutorials make crochet more accessible. So thank you.

Respectfully, where does this leave the majority or rest of us? Someone in your circumstance can always turn sound off !

Absolutely. I dont know what disphasia is but if theres music ..especially repetitive i cant listen to it ...I dont mind explaining as they go but if its music and talking and the video i get overloaded and cant think straight. Its also nice to not just see a tiny part done and then skip to the entire thing because its hard for me to imagine how to keep going and repeating.

@@Louise-CrochetNPlantsyou can also read aloud the writing on the top corner if you need to hear the description of what shes doing.

Hello Olga, thank you for this tutorial. I like seeing the instructions, but I prefer it when you explain it as well. I watch on my phone, so the picture is very small for me to be able to see it properly. The perfect tutorial for me would have the instructions in the corner, you crocheting and explaining it as you work. Thank you for all you do for us. 🧶

It is quite far away as well. If it was more close up i might be able to see.

Thank you Olga. Another beautiful pattern! I thought that , upside down , this pattern would be excellent for cafe curtains! (Ive been wanting to make some kitchen curtains for the longest time) . Olga , can you explain this experiment - of a tutorial with no verbal instruction? One still hears all the hand work squeaks of crocheting with thread. And the loud traffic! I never mind these sounds when you are speaking with us as they make the video genuine and real. I am sure you are wanting to get feedback about this method of tutorial. As for me I am a big fan of yours and I do not like it and hope you do not begin doing tutorials without speaking. I know various people have their reasons for choosing the seemingly impersonal unfriendly route of not speaking ( I would like to hear their reasons ) . The on screen text with pattern cues is a benefit for any tutorial. Olga, you have a perfectly lovely, pleasant voice , presence and excellent onscreen tutorial presentations. You are exceptional and a professional among many online who try to make crochet tutorials who could never have your talent. You are like a friend who I visit who shares my interest, 🤗 please dont stop talking to us! 😢 Thank you for all you teach us for those of us in your community and Crochet community at large.🧶

I totally agree. I love having you explain as you crochet. Your voice and accent make it very enjoyable. Such clear explanations. I am hoping this isn’t your new way of doing videos and I hope you aren’t sick like before when they were silent. Take care. 💖💖💖

I just found your channel and will subscribe but I want to hear explanations, what yarn you used and if it’s a lace weight or what and also the hook you used .and how much yarn to make your demo square as I can calculate how much I may need to make a shawl, scarf etc. Also the street noises are annoying but we’re not getting instructions or even you speaking, you could silence the video and then when you edit you can do a voice over.

@@babs5968 I agree, but everyone should show the finished product at least back and front and a few different angles and close up - not a flash view and then cut!
