i love that you put your finish project sizes not many tutorials do also i like that you start on the length because i will be making this pattern for a table runner thanks for that
Hi Sue, I'm so glad to hear you made it and your niece loved it! When I know that my patterns/tutorials are useful to other crocheters, it really motivates and inspires me creating new ones! Thank you so much for taking your time to leave me a comment!
Very well explained without spending an hour showing you crochet each row to the end. Thank you for that lol! I've been looking for a pattern with visual intricacy like this to make into a table runner, while being simple and quick to work. This one has topped any I've found!
I Love your video and will enjoy looking for more of your videos. I used to crotchet when I was younger and now 30 years later I would like to get back to it. You explain so clearly as you do it so I think I can start crocheting as I am watching your video. Thank you.
I’ve been making this in lion brand 24/7 cotton yarn in a terracotta color & it is beautiful, thank you soooo much!!! I can’t wait to try more of your patterns. You are a superb teacher! 🌻🌻🌻
This scarf is georgous. I have to make it. Your instructions are so clear it makes it so easy to follow along. I learned two new stitches from you as well. This is the first time I have seen that standing double crochet after turning and starting the next row instead of making three chains. Makes the ends look a lot smoother. Your camera view is perfect to see your stitches. Thank you so much for the tutorial on how to make this scarf!
I just made your scarf and it came out so pretty, all white. The yarn I used was a very thick yarn to be used in the winter season and is stead of making so many rows I made 2 repeat rows. I love your patterns and your are such a wonderful person to crochet with. You explain very throughly. I am starting another pattern today. Will look at your web. Thanks again for sharing.
Hi Ayleen, I"m very glad to hear you made a project from my pattern and starting another one! Thank you for your kind comment! Happy crocheting and Happy Holidays!
Hello! I just wanted you to tell you how grateful I am that you shared the new way of crocheting double crochet! The stitches do not only align but there is no unnecessary space left among the stitches as well and a more beautiful and dense crocheted piece is created!! You have been so helpful!! Thank you so much from Greece!!!!
Hi! Thank you so much for your comment! I'm so glad that this was helpful! This is the way I make double crochets in the majority of my crochet projects and it really does make a huge difference in how the finished fabric looks. Sending love to Greece from California 💕🇺🇸
I finished this scarf and again I love this! I've posted the scarf in my Facebook crochet groups and again they are going nuts over it. Everyone wants to know the name of the pattern. I give them your link! I want to make another one. I'm nervous to try the truboo yarn but I saw in the comments that someone else was going to use that yarn. So I will give it a go! Thank you again for an amazing pattern!!!!!!!
Hi Tracey, I'm so glad to hear you made this scarf and you loved it! Thank you for sharing my link in your FB group! I've never tried Truboo yarn myself, but it looks beautiful and soft, I think it can make some beautiful crochet projects. Thank you so much for your comment! Stay safe and happy crocheting!
Alize is magical yarn. I love it. All of this time I was trying to make perfect stitches like yours and it was the magic yarn all along! Seriously, though, I love this yarn. It's so much easier to work with at least for me and my poor hands. I love this stitch pattern. It's beautiful and I can't wait to use it. Thank you so very much! ✌🏻💟☯️🧶🪢🔗🪡📏✂️📝
I just started this scarf! I bought some lovely yarn in Ireland and have been waiting for a pattern to make a lighter scarf for my mom (she lives in the American southwest, so not exactly a place to bundle up!) she will love this pattern!
I made this for my mum as a valentines gift (my dad past away in March, so I wanted to give her something special) & she LOVED IT!! Thank you for this tutorial, it was really easy to follow thanks to you showing how to make it.
Hi Caroline, I'm so glad to hear you made it for your mom and she loved it! And I'm very sorry to hear your dad passed away. Thank you for taking your time to live me a comment! It motivates and encourages me knowing that my tutorials are useful to others.
Thank you so much for your wonderful patterns. Have now made three different scarves. I particularly like the fact that you give information on pattern repeat numbers so that I can adapt the size of my project. Keep inspiring me to make more!
Very well explained. I started this for my granddaughter day before yesterday and just finished. Come out Very nice. I used baby pink color. Started with 41 chains Thanks
What a wonderful pattern Olga thank you so much you’re very precise especially on which is the first stitch in a row so many people say firststitch without specifically saying not the chain so that’s very helpful also it’s just so pretty and row by row it is not hard at all but it is really fun to do no getting bored here lol thank you much
Hi Olga. This is by far one of the best tutorials on RU-vid. The mercerized cotton made it so easy to see exactly where to insert the hook. You always explain things well. I like how you showed how to do the edging. Only recently did I learn about the way to do double crochet as you did here to make the stitches align perfectly without the slant and I use that technique more than not. This pattern is so pretty and dainty. I love it. Thank you so much!!
Hi Paula, thank you so much for your comment! Yes, knowing two ways to make double crochets is useful as each way can be best for a particular pattern. I'm so glad you liked this tutorial!
Fabulous pattern. You show your special technique with working into the dc with the three loops clearly. Thank you so much. Your work is outstanding as are your tutorials. So glad i found your channel❤️
Wonderful pattern. Excellent video tutorial. Just finished making it using Katia Alabama yarn. Stunning result. Thank you so very much for sharing your expertise and patterns.
Hi Mona, thank you for your comment! Me too, I really like this idea and I'm thinking what other interesting stitches I can use to make another scarf along the length. Hugs from California 🤗
I’m making this pattern for a man’s prayer shawl, and I have to tell you how much nicer the double crochet is worked into the body of each stitch rather than just the tops. I’m thrilled to have learned this technique. Thank you such much for your lovely patterns!
I'm really glad to hear it! It gives me a lot of joy knowing that my tutorials are useful to others! What a great motivation for me to keep creating and sharing my crochet work! Thank you so much for your comment!
Usually, I don't choose pattern that has 7 repeated rows. Just easier ones, because I don't like to stress myself out with counting (have ADHD and it gives me so much trouble), but this video is so clear and easy. I started to make my summer scarf yesterday. I'm enjoying it so far. Thank you so much!
Sorry, 8 repeating row plus the 3 extra. 😁 I'm on my row 19, just finished it. Will add either 8 or 16 more, because I really love wide shawls. All my friends loves it so far and I'm in love too. I'm really enjoying making this.
I really like this lovely pattern, and am making the lacy cardigan with it. What I did not think about until I had 7 inches of width done is that every single crochet and double crochet row, should have the same atitch count as your starting chain!! I had to frog about 8 rows due to this oversight. I would have appreciated that mentioned in the video instructions!!!
I'm so glad! It really makes my day when I get comments from people sharing that you completed projects from my tutorial! Thank you so much for leaving me this comment!
@@OlgaPoltava 👏👏olé . Perfecto tú español , gracias gracias. Espero que tu seguidores suban como la espuma porque lo haces muuuyy bien .Felicidades. 💃💃
Thank you for the detailed tutorial ! This summer lacey design is very suitable for my country's climate. Just made one using mixed pink yarn, my friend's fave color and the outcome is wonderfully sweet 😍 Its a surprise gift for her and she loved it 😊
I love ❤ ALL your patterns and have made a lot of them! Your tutorials are very easy to understand and follow. YOU are a great teacher. Will be looking forward to more of your tutorials and patterns! 🙂🌷
Wanted to try out mohair yarn and started to work on this scarf today. I'm using a single thread and it turns out beautifully! 🤩 Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful and easy to follow patterns ❤🙏🏼 Subscribed to your channel.
Hi, Olga! You did an outstanding job designing the pattern. I think it's beautiful. I like working with the length of items too. Thank you so much for sharing. You always explain instructions very well.👍😁🌹
Hi Nikki, thank you for such kind and encouraging words! It really motivates me creating and sharing new patterns/projects when I know that other crocheters appreciate my work! Thank you so much! 🤗💗
Hi Olga 🤗 this was the very first crochet project I ever did, and I loved it 😁 the pattern was perfect for my level, and the long rows were a good learning oportunity since repetition is the best way to retain information for me. Thank you !!! 🌼
