You can learn how to Crochet a Lunaria Round Bag in this DIY video tutorial. Hi I'm Donna Wolfe from Naztazia. Here's a neat handbag that is round in shape. It is made with Caron Cotton Cakes and 2 strands of yarn held together. The front post double crochet stitches create spokes in the bag, which adds some design interest. The button closure helps holds everything inside. Notice how sturdy the bag looks? There's a trick to keeping bags nice and strong that you can find in your kitchen! I'll give you a hint: it's a flexible plastic vegetable cutting mat. You can use this as a lining by itself, or add a fabric one over it. It's definitely a fun bag to make!

I love your videos. They are straight forward and to the point. You show the yarn in a timely manner and detail the hook size. I have watched and saved many videos. Some of them take 5 minutes to to show the yarn and hook. Then you don't see the finished project until the end. And your lucky if you see it for 30 sec.

This looks AMAZING!! I was stunned when I saw those spokes! I'm wanting to do a multicolor version and want to know how many yards or skeins each "face" took, and how many yards the siding and handle took? I know you recommend 600yd for the total project but it would be a huge help if I'd be able to understand how much of each color I will need. Both the faces will be one color and the side+handle will be another. Either way, thank you for sharing this pattern freely!

I really like this design, you make it looks very easy. I wonder if plastic canvas would work just as well as as a cutting mat and possibly line with fabric as well. It looks so versatile. Thanks for sharing this wonderful design.

Yes! I use plastic canvas in many of my other handbag videos. Even plastic report covers would work. So would place mats.
