Hello 👋 Shirley from England here … I’m so grateful to you Crystal, for many reasons.. just one of them is the way you explain how to do things in your tutorials…the macular degeneration in my eyes leaves me unable to follow just written patterns for any length of time. The print is never big enough and separating the lines is a nightmare.. everything is so muddled up. Distance isn’t a problem but close to is a daily struggle. You make even more complex patterns so clear to follow in your own unique and oh so friendly, patient style.. I honestly believe that some people are born to make the world a better place.. and you are DEFINITELY one of those xxx
Beautiful Crystal. I don't know anyone who wears shawls, but really everyone can wear wraps. And I have so many thin yarn cakes so I'm happy to see this. Great work ❤😊😊
I love wearing shawls! I'm cold natured, so a shawl helps me stay warm year round (cause I dislike AC as I freeze inside during summer, and I have to keep my heat so low in the winter that a shawl is perfect to ward off a chilly house).
Stunning! 🤩 And serendipitous! I recently received my very first Herrschners cotton mill ends. A little voice whispered 'rectangle wrap!'...this is my sign to listen! Thanx much Crystal!! 🤗🥰
So happy to see a tutorial by the best teacher on a rectangle shawl. I had asked you for a shawl that would double as a throw & you came through for me. I will definitely be making this and it will be hard to gift it and not keep it. Thank you for being so responsive to admirers and updating traditional shapes. Someone who wouldn't often wear a shawl, would still use this as a light throw. I want my efforts to be used in life. Thank you.♥️
So Pretty! Just when I said I wasn't going to make any more wraps. 😂 This will be challenging because of my vision loss and the dark yarn you are using. I will follow along with the audio. Also, I will make up a smaller version before I try a 350 count chain. 😳 Crystal this is beautiful! ❤ Keep them coming. You are a creative genius!❤
You truly are my absolute favorite teacher of crochet on YT, hands down! I just did a small (23 ch) swatch of this pattern using a yarn of Baby Alpaca and Mulberry silk. It's a fingering yarn, but I used a 4mm hook. The yarn is called Honeycomb Harvest from Expression Fiber Arts, and the swatch I made came out so unbelievably gorgeous that I can't wait to start the full project! The colors are subtle in this skein, but so wonderfully blended in this pattern. I will use the 2 skeins that I have of this yarn (total 1208 yds), so I'll probably have to order another skein for the border. Thank you so much for your beautiful shawl and wrap patterns that you make so easy for us to follow. Crystal, for me, you are a Godsend!
The yarn you used in the tutorial, looked an awful lot like that pretty yarn you got from the auction that I saw a video on today. But I absolutely love the cornfield yarn. I grew up in Indiana, and I know exactly what you mean. That’s what it looks like! I love making wraps, and I definitely want to add this to my list. Thank you.
wow This is another beautiful shawl !!! i see this in a mandala... Which is a good thing cause I am addicted to both.. Your Tutorials and The Mandala yarn LOL LOL TY wow !!!
It does sound like a little bit of Yarn Chicken a little at the very end! But our Crystal deboned and cooked up that chicken, prepared a couple of sides, made an apple pie and served it up for dinner!!
Beautiful wrap Crystal. I purchased a few of Rena’s cake when you featured them so I’m happy when you feature an item using them. Will be making this one. Thanks.
I finished it today! It took me 3 weeks working on it for ~1-1.5 hr every day. It turned out beautifully. Thank you for being a great teacher and providing us with all these free patterns!❤
Thank you Crystal I appreciate your work. I have the perfect yarn for this design. My concern is do I have enough? Another interesting dilemma to resolve. 💜🥰
