HOW TO: CROCHET RUFFLE HAT TUTORIAL (intermediate crocheters)🧶

I’m working on my second hat and all I can say is that the ruffles kills my hands

Pattern (personal use) 5. mm hook make mr chain 3 dc 12 (tighten mr after) sl slt into first st chain one round one; 2 dc in each stitch (inc), 24 st sl st chain one round two: 1 dc, 2 dc (repeat) sl st chain one round three: 1 dc into 2 stitches, 2 dc in one (repeat), sl slt chain one round four: 1 dc into 3 stitches, 2 dc into one (repeat) sl st chain one round 5-12: 1 dc in each stitch Ruffles: 5.75 mm hook treble stitch inc 5 for 1st row 5. mm hook treble stitch inc 2-4 for 2nd

Here's the pattern wrote down, if that helps some of y'all ROW 1 Magic ring starting with ch2 (not counted towards the 12dc) 12dc into mr Sl st into 1st dc ROW 2 Ch 2, [2dc in 1] all the way around Sl st into 1st st ROW 3 Ch 2[1dc, 2dc in 1] all the way around Sl st into 1st st ROW 4 Ch 2[1 dc, 1 dc, 2dc in 1] all the way around Sl st into 1st st ROW 5 Ch 2[1 dc, 1 dc, 1 dc, 2dc in 1] all the way around Sl st into 1st st ROW 6-12 7 rows of ch 2, [dc into each st], sl st into 1st st to finish each row ROW 13 *Go up on hook size if you prefer* Ch3, [5 treble st in 1 st] all the way around ROW 14 *Go back to 5mm hook* Ch 3 [2-5 treble st in 1 st] all the way around Fasten off and weave in ends

This is perfect timing thank you for this tut. It took about 3 hours for me to the ruffles-I dd the extreme ruffles and used blue and purple 2 rows for each color all the way down. Now i'm done, i finished it yesturdayyy and its sooo cuteee

Okay so in the beginning you said chain 3… then do the 12 dc inside the magic circle… but you chained 2 then did the 12 dc… were you counting the magic circle chain as the first chain ?? If that makes sense
