Hmm can I make this with less chunky yarn?? I want to make this as a échange gift but I only have normal yarn not chunky

Adding the edge stitches on which holes is so confusing! She could have atleast explained a pattern on how to identify which holes. Also on locating the middle stitch for the button loop. It made my head and eyes hurt so much ugh!
