Learn how to crochet the staggered half double crochet pairs. This stitch creates a lovely textured and reversible fabric. It is fairly easy to make, if you have mastered the half double crochet, then you can master this one too. It is a one row repeat, so it will be easy to memorize as well. I do really love both the look and the feel of this stitch and I think it would be lovely to incorporate in scarves, blankets and even sweaters. Just keep in mind that it does produce some small gaps in the fabric so it won’t be entirely air tight if you decide to use it for any type of wearables.
