Thank you - this is so adorable - I just made pair for my little baby doll and they fit perfectly! I'll use this pattern over and over again. UPDATE: I've made so many of these little shoes for my doll. I just made a pair of the boots in brown with black trim - they are so adorable I wish I could send you a picture. I made a pair of red shoes with a strap for Christmas and a pink pair for Valentines. I also made a pair of pink slippers with darker pink pompoms from this pattern. It is very versatile and very easy after you do it a few times.
Our first great grandson was born last weed at 32 weeks. 2lbs 14 oz. Your pattern was simple enough that I was able to make 2 pairs of booties for his tiny feet. Thank you so very much.
I love how you do each step with us. I've been crocheting for years but never made booties. I'm making these for a baby shower. Thanks for going through the steps slowly. I look forward to other videos. Oh and thanks for the US terms... :)
I just love the way you giggle! Thanks for sharing these. I hope to be adding these little booties to bereavement sets that I make for Little Angel Gowns organization.
Thank you so much for this video....I just started making fabric baby dolls & wanted to crochet some booties which are sooo small & found you.....OMG....so excited. I think the 2 inch will be perfect......I taught myself how to crochet alittle bit in the 80's but haven't did it since sooooo.......hope I can re-learn with my senior mind.....thanks again!!
A written pattern would have been great. No worries, I’ve got it... We raised our granddaughter but we’re mom & dad... She’s having twins in Dec. 2018.... With your help, I’ll have a load of these wonderful preemie booties!!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!
Just finished making a pair... They're sooo tiny and cute..!!! Your tutorial was easy to follow.. thanks so much.. best wishes from Co Dublin Ireland ☘️🙂🇮🇪💖
Thank you I love this pattern, you have made it so easy to follow. I have made these booties for my china doll I had for my first birthday 68 years ago (1951) and I actually remember when I woke up she was sat in a little pushchair next to my bed, that is my first memory xx
This is the easiest video to understand and follow. I was able to make them to look just like yours because of the way you explain and demonstrate. Thank you so much. I look forward to watching more videos from you!🙂
Karen, I just want to thank you for all your videos. I have been able to relieve so much of my anxiety over my soon-to-be-born twin granddaughters, who have struggled so much since day one, by listening to your calming, lively voice and crocheting along with you. I converted one of the patterns for the hi-top booties to be more like Converse and I had no idea what I was doing (and hadn't crocheted in almost 10 years) but it came out just right.
Update: The girls arrived March 2. Aurora is 1 lb 10 oz 13 1/2 inches and her feet are perfect for the one- to one and a half inch booties I mistakenly made. Nova was born one minute later at 3 lbs 5 oz and 15 inches. (Two days shy of 29 weeks and on my sister's 50th birthday.)
Same here my niece is having twins as well she spent a lot of money to become pregnant these baby girls these miracle babies she wasn’t able to Conceive on her own thank you for these baby shoes
@@aussiegrace How sweet of you!!! Nova, who was 3lbs 5oz, came home May 2021. She is walking, says a few words and weighs 25lbs. Aurora came home in August 2021 with a trach and gtube. The trach was removed less than two weeks before their first birthday (March 2) and she still has the g tube. She weighs 16 lbs and is three inches shorter than her seconds- younger twin sister. She crawls and pulls up and can take a couple steps while holding the edge of the sofa or someone's hands. She is making some consonant sounds but no words yet. Mommy is teaching both sign language just as an additional communication tool. Nova knows three signs so far. Mommy and Daddy expect them to have an Australian-Oklahoma accent because they are both obsessed with the cartoon "Bluey". Ha! Thanks again for asking!
These are just what I need as my pattern is screwy and nothing like the one you did. So I'm excited to work on them tomorrow Thank you for the easy to follow pattern!
Karen! I was actually able to make one tiny slipper. I'm a total beginner and your video is so calming and easy follow your voice is soothing too. thank you for helping me!
Thank you for sharing your videos with us... I am left handed and sometimes struggle with these patterns and I find your the best to follow...looking forward to future videos... Thank you so much...
Thank you Karen I really enjoy crocheting these tiny baby booties I crochet them for a doll your video on RU-vid was awesome 👏 I love the way you take your time it made it easier for me to follow you are the best thanks 😊 again Karen
I am a beginner and you made this tutorial so clear and easy to follow so thank you! I wanted to make a super teeny boot so used embroidery thread and a 2mm hook and it made a teeny 1 inch little bootie 😊
Thank you for the pattern and the tutorial! These are perfect for the Corolle baby doll that my daughter has. The booties are ever so slightly big, which is good for my 5yo's little hands to work with and I put a little bit of beading elastic around the top so they were stretchy and stay on. I made the slippers for the girl doll and the longer booties for the boys.
I have watched your video 4 times & made a set of these Booties. The easiest tutorial I have found so far. We are expecting our 1st Grandbaby in July + I have only crocheted Afaghans, so I had to go outside my comfort zone just to see if I could do it. And I did it! Thank you very much for sharing!!!!
These are absolutely adorable! I'm thrilled to see that I can slow the playback speed as I am a beginner to crocheting. I make these tiny dolls on a small loom and I'm always looking for different decoration and embellishments so I believe these will be perfect. Thank you!
Thank you. These booties are lovely and your instructions are so easy to follow. Here in America, the upper part of the bootie is called the "shaft". I know in Britain if you get the shaft you have been fired or eliminated.
Thank you soooo much, I'm going to be big sister for the 3rd time and I wanted to crochet some boot for the baby but all the video I watch, the boot were too big 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷only you than understand than newdorn have very tiny foot
Lovely to watch your tutorial. Thank you! I enjoy your voice & cute comments. 😊. Ps I’m with you I hate squeaky yarn so I keep travel size baby powder in my yarn bag.👍🏻
thank you so much for this video. I have been. looking for a pattern for doll booties and could not find one the correct size. this one is perfect. thank you so much again.
This is exacly what I've been looking for ages.. cute tiny baby shoes that are super easy and quick to make, thank you! Already made 4 of them in less than 3 hours, and when I used other videos, it would take me 3 hours each! So, thank you so much!
Super adorable and the video was so helpful and real, at a time I felt I was sitting and crocheting with another person! Cannot wait for more such cute videos!!
Wanted to make some sneakers for my bird stuffed animal. The feet were about 1.7 inches, these ended up being perfect. Ended up making the bottom black and then switched to white for the rest, looks amazing when I added some little shoe laces
Ty so much for sharing, my first granddaughter is due to come the 15th of April and while watching your video it came to mind that I can make a Mobil for her crib with these, ty again and I’m so excited that I found your channel, I pray you have a blessed night🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶
Thank you so much Karen for this video, God bless you and all your tiny creations,,,It was your pattern scaled with a 2.5 mm hook and number 3 baby sport weight yarn, that made it possible to make my neices 11 inch doll some shoes...
Thank you for all your lovely comments. I've made some new 2 inch slippers for you, please click here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VnTu3s_l89g.html
Hi Karen, I’m a newbie crocheter, I’m just wondering if you have a tutorial for barbie ballet flats? You explain things so well and I’m unable to follow the few I’ve seen on you tube. Thank you so much 😊💯🧶🙏🏻🙋🏼♀️
Awesome little booties! Hate the squeaky yarn though. Made my hair on my arms stand up most of the video.. hahaha 😂. ur such an awesome teacher also. Thank u been looking for a bootie video just like this for a while now. u make it seem so easy. Looking for a video for newborn skirt to go with a bonnet I already made.
