How to Crochet Victorian Lattice Square | Step By Step Tutorial 

this is a great tutorial! for anyone who like me needs to to multiple squares, can't remember patterns and can't always have the video on, i wrote down the instructions as best as i could (this is just a memory device for people who already used the video tutorial, i doubt I described it clear enough for your first try): Slip knot Chain 5 join w/ slst Round 1 chain 4 11 dc +ch1 in circle slst into 3rd chain Round 2 slst into 1st chain space ch3 + dc into same chain space ch2 (2dctog into next chain space + ch2) repeat til end of round slst into 3rd ch Round 3 slst into 1st chain space ch7 (sc into next chain space ch3) x2 sc into next chain space ch7 (creates corner) repeat til end of round Round 4 slst into first corner ch3 +4 dc into chain space ch3 + 5dc into same chain space as before sc into the chain3 space ch4 sc into the next chain3 space repeat until end of round slst into top of the chain Round 5 slst into the first dc ch3 dc3 (dc2 + ch3 + dc2 in corner space dc4 ch4 sc in the chain4 space ch4 skip 2 stitches dc4) repeat til end of round slst into top of the chain Round 6 slst into the next 2 stitches ch3 dc3 (dc2 + ch3 + dc2 in corner space dc4 ch4 sc in the chain4 space ch4 sc in the next chain4 space ch4 skip 2 stitches dc4) repeat til end of round slst into top of the chain Round 7 ch3 dc5 (dc2 + ch3 + dc2 in corner space dc6 dc2 into chain space ch4 sc into chain space ch4 dc2 into chain space dc6) repeat until end of round slst into top of the chain Round 8 ch3 dc7 (dc2 + ch3 + dc2 in corner space dc10 dc2 into chain space ch1 dc2 into chain space dc10) repeat until end of round slst into top of the chain optional: border of round of sc or dc all around corners: sc (or dc)1 + ch1 + sc (or dc)1

This is an amazing motif! Thank you for uploading your video, which is so well explained and easy to follow. Looks amazing when joined (I'm making a throw). May I suggest for fellow crocheters method of joining? Since I don't like sewing, instead of last round of single cr all round, I chained 3, skipped 1 stitch and single crochet in the next stitch and so on, including corners. Then I joined as I go with single cr, Ch1, slip stitch to join, skip stitch and single crochet and so on... It's just a suggestion for someone who doesn't know or can't decide how to join 😉. Looks absolutely gorgeous 👍

Hi, thank you for this great pattern & tutorial. I've done 4 of them now for a blanket I'm making. I'm curious about using multiple colors for this pattern. A different color for the center circle would be easy, but wondering how to make the flowers (with the holes) a different color. Any ideas?

Have you tried doing a DC rather than the chain? Will look nicer, no chains.

Lovely tutorial very easy to follow. It doesn't say what yarn to use or what size hook. It doesn't look like wool.

I wonder if you could tell us in your videos what size yarn and hook you use so ours can look like yours. Your pictures look pretty and mine don't come out like yours. I'm thinking I'm using yarn thicker than yours.
