I love this pattern, I already made this for my kids, my husband and my “son in love” :) And I just want to share a tip: to make a pair of gloves for a right and left hand, instead of making the thumb hole for the finger at the beginning of the round, make it at the end of the same round, this is to made the second glove, and you will have right and left glove.

Hi there, thanks for your video, they are very useful and easy to follow. I used a 5mm hook instead of a 9mm. The first chain ended up too tight, couldn't slide my hands through it, but it looks very pretty, will redo it for sure.
@KattLover5412
@KattLover5412 4 года назад
Hook doesn't effect the tightness, the yarn thickness does and how tight you pull it too. You just need a hook that matches your yarn thickness that's why

Your numbers are probably off. Have you tried using stitch markers? They're helpful for circular patterns, even if you're not working in the round.

Love this tutorial. I am NEW at crocheting. Attempting to make these for the first time. Have tried a couple times and they keep looking like bells. Tight at the wrist and gradually getting wider. Please help lol! Is it the tension? Maybe im not attaching to the correct stitch when finishing a row. So hard for me to tell which is which. Also if the 16 chain is too tight can we do 20?
@carolhodges7461
@carolhodges7461 4 года назад
Sounds like yes you lost your number of stitches. If you have to mark the first stitch of each row until you get more comfortable at knowing where your row starts. Hope this helps. And I would think that starting with more stitches should work in this pattern
@KattLover5412
@KattLover5412 4 года назад
I wouldn't do 20, only add one or two, unless your using a thinner yarn. If you use a 4 yarn you can do 24

Ughhh I did my first one perfect but didn't follow the tutorial correctly so it's looser, however I much prefer it, but I've tried 2 times already and I can't seem to replicate it so they are both the same fit grr... I thought I messed up by not adding the 2 chains cause I kept forgetting but that didn't change anything fit wise (I like the look better tho so I do that anyways) Then I thought maybe I was doing something else wrong where I ended the rows but I can't figure it out. Ik I didn't do 17 instead of 16 cause the fit is still the same at the wrist I think. Idk where im messing up
@marina_m11
@marina_m11 4 года назад
EnchantedOcelot hey maybe you’re not actually messing up! It could easily be as simple as your tension is looser. If so it can change the sizing of your projects. We all have unique ways of crocheting. The easy solution to this is to use a crochet hook that’s a size or 2 smaller. Hope that helps!

Yes, but it might make the mitten smaller. If you trying to make them smaller for a child she has a video on that as well. If you want smaller yarn and hook it will just come out smaller so you might need to chain more then 16 if that makes sense.
