Join us in Michigan as we get an up close and personal look into how concrete is crushed and made into gravel. This was my second day in Michigan in the Detroit area.
Funny story, a new kid we hired (I'm in the event industry) was in the truck with me after a set up and he said "Easssssy Money." I responded with "How much garbage do we make." and he said "Victory style?" and I responded with "Victory style!" and we fist bumped. We both laughed because neither of us are in the concrete bizz, but both love your channel!
This touring is really turning out to be amazing. Not only did we get to see the crushing process but you are meeting some new friends. That is really cool of those total strangers to open their home to you guys. I can't wait to see more of this stuff.
An indoor crush plant is a first for me. Appreciate your hard work on these videos Ryan. 👍👍 be sure to give a thumbs-up 👍👍so youtube recommends this channel to new viewers
WOW, after watching EVERY SINGLE ONE of your videos, I finally told myself during your Kansas trip " I wonder what happens to old concrete"! Now I know! Love you guys!
Very cool to see this on a small scale. Since I started getting into hardscapes Ive been fascinated by the concrete crushing plants. We pay them to dump and pay them to buy it back after it’s processed. Easy money
Very eeeasy. As a homeowner I was glad to have a place to take truckloads of concrete. In big cities they are very busy, mountains of concrete on both ends of the business.
Good day Sir, love your channel. I have been in the masonry and concrete business for over twenty years. The gas station you stopped at in Coloma Michigan is less than one block away from my Moms house. Thank you for the time you put into your videos. You are a pleasure to watch. Have a great 2022 season.
Ryan, this was awesome information to cover. Thanks for showing how it is done. I teach a building construction class and I am going to show this one to them. Thanks
Thank you for this video! I didn’t know the awesome process that concrete chunks went through to become useful for other purposes. Nice couple. Very interesting setup and information. Take care out there.
THIS was AWESOME !!!! You answered a LOT of fans questions in this video, Ryan ..... Mike was a COOL guy with a GREAT work ethic and we really APPRECIATE him showing us his business !!! SUPER COOL that he is making his home inside with the business !!! SMART idea ....
Got a four day weekend from work this week, I’m glad I’m up and early today to catch an early upload. Greetings from Colorado and happy new year to you & the family! Keep up the great content!👍
Welcome to Detroit I live 8 miles from downtown Detroit I live by metro airport welcome to the motor city. It’s a great city in my opinion it’s no more dangerous than any other city . Detroit is full of hard working Americans
If you live by metro airport you DONT live in Detroit. Stop saying your from Detroit when your from Romulus or something like that... It's not Detroit. For the tourists that come for game day such as yourself it can be safe downtown... But we all know that's the only place you visit. How you gonna claim Detroit when you like 20 minutes away aye? - Eminem
Not sure why this particular video just popped up on my feed after over a year of subscribing to your RU-vid channel...however, I'm really glad to have finally watched it...I was really impressed by the family who owns & operates the concrete crushing business...they're just really solid, good-hearted, very hardworking Americans--just making their way in this world 🌎 in the proper fashion...&, the guy who opened up his home for you & Ryan Jr to spend the night is totally awesome as well!
Ryan, great video again! Mike is an awesome guy. I wish you and your family and of course Bugs and crew a beautyfull new year. Thank you for everytime you made me laugh and learn everything about concrete. See you at the… 2022!
DEEEETROIT! buddy just making all the trips! Im from around there. Super cool seeing the places i know in your movies. Next time you screw up and go to Detroit go north some more to Frankenmuth. All the love from the mitten state!
It's good to know that there are some businesses still operating in Detroit. Many folks have left. Awesome process. Everything is reused/recycled and nothing goes to waste.
Awesome video!! Love watching different businesses operations . I don’t even watch tv just you tube videos on interesting things and what I can learn from. Thanks Ryan , blessings
Ryan, I live in Madison Heights and my works second warehouse is actually on that street from that guy you visited. A great place to eat is called ERNIE'S MARKET. He is in Oak Park and has THE BEST sandwiches he makes and has been voted #1 10 plus times in the city. I hope you enjoy your trip and maybe I might see you!
The woman that feeds the cats is amazing. They would freeze. Instead of a box to sleep in. They get 5 star cat meals and a heated house 😂😂😂 They probably think it’s normal. Other cats are like what in the fkkkk
Hi this is Mike from capital crushing… That’s a great question! There is a magnet on the crusher that pulls the steel off of the conveyor belt and shoots it in a 2 yard steel basket and when the basket is full we dump it into a dump trailer and haul it to a steel recycling scrap yard
@@capitalconcretecrushing3376 I’ve ran excavators for weeks with the crush head on it getting rebar out of concrete on big demo jobs. But we had a crusher on site.
@@capitalconcretecrushing3376 Hi Mike and a happy New Year to you from here in Scotland. I don't mean this as any sort of criticism but this is a much smaller operation than I would have expected. I seems very labour intensive, with a lot of vehicle movements required for the process. Have you expansion plans for the future, or this a good, manageable sized operation? One thing the video didn't cover: have you staff, or is this a family process from start to finish?
Wow Was kinda wondering what happens with stuff after we leave it Also interested in how stuff is made. Got some great info and also met some good people Hope you enjoyed your visit. Stay strong and be safe
Wow 40 minutes after your upload an already at 2.4k views. Your channels growing so fast. I really enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the great content an I look forward to what the future holds for you!!!
I would say Bugs is you best worker, you don't have to tell him what needs to be done. I would be great to see you take Bugs on one of your trips. A reward for his good service.
That would be me messing up the roads an the machine 🤣 and the look Ryan Jr gave 😂 that was priceless 🤣 and that's pretty cool to see how they reuse the concrete and how they do the process 👍🏼
Man that was an awesome tour! He could move that electric screener right under the conveyor on the other one when he runs the smaller stone. pretty cool!
I work in quality control for material like crushed concrete and aggregate, normally our crushers are at a rock quarry here in Wisconsin cool seeing how they do their processes.
That was awesome, very cool to see the process. Definitely recognized St. Clair Shores. You passed through right near our shop. Hope you enjoyed your trip to Michigan. I need to pay attention if you make it to Michigan again, would be awesome to meet you!
Welcome to MI boys!! I live about 30 mins north of Oak Park!! Hope you guys had a good experience and a good holiday. Been watching you videos and loving every one.
these people wer so cool .. lol i do little concrete i run forms n rebar not to much finisher but i know whats going on, in texas old crete just gets dumped at a fill usually . was cool see his set up nice job!
We recycle concrete too, except we don't crush it. we get the leftovers before it's cured and turn those into bench/planter legs and sometimes other small ish things (20-50kg)
beautiful people in this world and that guy seemed really cool with his small business he started its great to see and hes fixing up the business to live in thats a great idea .here we cant convert a business to live in one or the other
