I reluctantly took your advice on the one million FD contest even though I'm strictly a cash game guy. Like you say they're giving money to 50% of the field, can't not do it. Squeezed through made a whole dollar on my 3 dollar bid. Used the same lineup in my cash games. My double ups were more profitable, but I'm thinking if I put more lineups in that contest I have a shot at money. Now I have to generate less than optimal lineups and surrender to contrarian logic. My old reptilian brain has trouble with that.

Why is Fanduel doing these guaranteed overlay tournaments? Are they going to do it every week? I'm definitely not complaining, lol

The only downside I can see to the $3/150 overlay is the payout structure is nuts. $70,000 to first but only *$500* to 10th. The overlay is still great but it’s a downside to the payouts going so deep.

I agree. I think it is just very top heavy with the super competitive players which means the average Joes play a few weeks and then quit. When they make money back they keep playing.
