I was the one who emailed you, My rabbit died from GI STATIS we tried everything we could but we couldnt make him live.. he died yesterday. He got head tilt when he died and he couldnt lift his head up. We force feeded him some pellets and water through a syringe to keeping him eating but he didnt make it. he lasted 8 healthy years 💜 he was my childhood. thank you so much for all the information you gave me about rabbits.

Just a note, chasing is not only predatory behavior. Horses and cows for example, love to chase things and other animals. Chasing sometimes is simply a play behavior and nothing to do with chasing prey.

My two rabbits chewed the Internet cord, ate a huge section of the wallpaper, and they have chewed so much of my clothes 😂

This was really helpful! I just got my second bunny 12 days ago, and he's a 7 month old Rhinelander, and he's EXTREMELY destructive.. and he LOVES to dig! He digs the carpet, he digs his fleece, he digs in his litter box.. and he has plenty of stuff to play with! My other bunny has free roam of my room, and the new bunny just has a pen.. and yet he has most of the rabbit toys. No matter what I give him, he much prefers to chin rub it and go back to digging. His pen is absolutely crowded with endless things to do.. and yet he still digs! I had been wanting to make a digging box for him, but I wasn't sure how to do it or what to put in it, but now I have a pretty good idea! Thank you so much!

i found out that it helps to cover the cage with a towel/fleece/what ever when my bunny starts chewing the bars. In his case he wants me to let him out but I can't do that in the middle of the night and if he sees me he is going to drive me crazy with it and I can't sleep. Covering the cage prevents him from doing that idk why ^^" it worked with our other bunny as well. Anyways... I love your videos! You probably saved my bunny ~ He was having GI stasis because of his bad teeths and still has upset tummy from the antibiotics but he is doing great and slowly recovering! your video helped me to keep calm and help him get through it ^u^

My mini Rex is suuuuuper busy/playful. My holland lop is very calm and relaxed , despite being the exact same age. At one point my Rex was obsessed with chewing baseboards. I found providing him with a lot of chew toys made from different woods/substances is what helped the most. He usually gets pine, apple branches ( not chemically treated), willow ( again no pesticides/chemicals) sea grass balls, bullrush stems, and unbleached/glue free empty paper rolls. Plus store bought chews/gnaws as well. So his space has a lot of items out at one time but this seems to work and he never chews the baseboards anymore.

My bunny chewed the carpets so we put fabric all over the HUGE cage, and we put empty toilet paper rolls over the hutch poles and we put a lot more toys in and she was fine

Love the ideas! My dutch girl is exactly six months today and is a little diva. Her new thing is herding me and the cats for attention. She's the sweetest thing and loves to be held under my hands (maybe she thinks my hands are her siblings), but of course has her skittish moments. Was Clara looking for loose hay to chomp on? My cats will always find bits of hay and look like idiots trying to eat it.

I have given my bunny literally EVERYTHING…… she’s just started becoming destructive and she’s free roam, she’s a mini Loop 3 months. I have given her a variety of toys, straw, Wreath ring, seagrass ball, Apple sticks and sooo much more, I’ve made these toys you’ve suggested but still nothing working… she’s also recently started pooping and peeing all over the carpets but never has prior to this and even when I re litter train her she still poops everywhere and pees in spots

hello haley I am poppin bunnies and i am a crazy animal lover and your videos are amazing i have become a bunny expert watching your videos

Had ours about a month now started out super cuddly, and totally settled in within minutes (so much for leave her alone till she's comfortable-she wouldn't let us) but now she has a big cage front left open and will only be closed for extreme reasons, eg repairmen in and out of house etc), and two huge cardboard boxes to play in, a variety of foods treats and toys plenty of hay...the works (only thing missing is second bunny) yet she still prefers to pee on the sofa (when you HAVEN'T put a puppy pad down, dig the carpet, chew everything in sight and would rather sit on the floor rather than your knee or in any of her 'homes'. Got worse in the last week. Still adorable (when we see her and when she's not getting into trouble!) Can't wait for the weather to improve so I can put her in the garden for a couple of hours burn off some energy!!

"Lops are very laid back..." - Can you tell my rabbit Peach that? She's a Holland lop and she clearly didn't get the memo. 🤣 She is the most destructive rabbit I have ever had. She's at least 5-1/2 they estimate, she was abandoned before I got her from the rescue so they had to guess her age. Shes absolutely adorable though. I am definitely going to have to use some of these tips, some of these I haven't tried yet. Great info!

My rabbit is... the least destructive little guy in the world. He's older mind you, no clue what he was like as a young bun. His interests are, Food, Pets, Exploration, in that order. He doesn't really chew things, he doesn't dig at carpet, he's such a laaaazy boy. Honestly he'd probably not even chew cords, but I don't want to risk it to find out. Scarcely plays with toys either, barring food motivation, and EVEN THEN, if it's too much effort he just gives up eventually. Is a lop. As it happens.

I keep my baby bunny is a really large play pen. I thought it was enough room but she tries to escape SO much and sometimes, she’s successful. I want her to be free-roaming but she also DESTROYS carpet.. she can’t free-roam if she chews carpet. We don’t know what to do with her!! Help!

My rabbit jumped on top of his cage and spilled my orange juice on my laptop last week. It broke, unsurprisingly. He is incredibly fast. Don’t allow any destructive opportunities! I put a blanket over his fence so he can’t escape and toys to distract him. We’re now training him with a bunny harness for out of cage time.

My bunny lives outside and has a really big playpen for during the day and he has a ramp from his cage to the own so he can go back and forth and he dug a hole under the ramp so he can be outside and still in the shade😂😂😂He'll sit there for hours

Very informational video :) My male bun that is about to be 2 years old gets very bored and destructive unless I switch out his toys regularly! If I don't he destroys his cage base. Phone books have helped a lot with his problem as he's a digger. :)

We live in a log cabin so my parents made a rule that the bunnies can’t chew the natural wood wall in my room because we would have to relay the whole wall and that would obviously be really expensive and last night I caught one of them chewing the wall so I’m really scared to tell my parents

We just got our boy fixed 2 weeks ago. He chewed through the internet cord last week and just now I found him and he chewed all over our brand new carpet. I am furious! I just spent 600 dollars on getting him fixed and now he starts this??? I have no idea what to do

Definitely recommend building wooden hidey houses for them to also chew on with rabbit safe wood. We fill ours with hay as well.

My rabbit loves digging around the front of his door until I let him out. He has a 5ft by 3ft cage and I let him out for more than 6 hours everyday and he won’t stop digging until I let him out again. He also just likes digging and he’ll dig on anything even me

lops are not calm, not to me anyway, my lop eared bunny is so active, she ring a bell by the front door to go for walks, even at 2-5 in the morning, she is everywhere, but I love her, she always be my baby.

Hi my rabbit has LOADS of enrichment and toys I honestly have spent so much and I don’t mind but she plays with them for a couple mins and then straight onto the skirting boards. She free roams and has so much stuff honestly I’m not exaggerating on the level of things she has. More toys than the majority of kids and she has endless amounts of cardboard because I collect it for her she has heaps of it and she will play with them and next minute I just head clawing and I look and she’s ruining the skirting boards or digging the carpets she has digging boxes and scratch pads please help! Could it be cause she isn’t spayed yet? She is due to be on 4th March but she’s still young till then.

i have ver200$ worth of toys and stuff for my rabbit to destroy ,other than sacrificing things he wanted to play with which i owned .. he still doesn't like anything other than what's forbidden to him.. IDK what to do its kinda annoying i love him but there is a limit.. also he's free range I'm against any form of cage...advice? P.s he is not neutered i can't find a vet willing to do it.. i live in Kuwait and most vets here don't have knowledge with rabbits, those that do have taken advantage and charge way more than i can afford.
