This guy is so talented. The first video I saw was him customizing Rainbow Huarache's yesterday. This is one of the few times RU-vid has made a quality recommendation. I hope you have more videos with him.
You should so video on how to maintian you brushes in good shape or how to clean them properly, especially the smaller ones because once you clean them one time (in some cases), all the hairs spread and its a mess
Great tutorial! I was wondering does this paint come off after time? And do we have to do more than just 1 coat? And just revising We have to mix the paint with Hard right? Thanx
When dealing with a synthetic material like NIKESKIN, do you need to use a spray-on adhesion promoter? Thanks for the videos! Your products and customer service are A1
Is the adhesion promoter recommended more insistently in cleats because they are made of a more plastic material or because they have more friction when kicking the balls? Could Angelus paint be used with adhesion promoter to do some detailing on a cycling helmet? Thank you
The adhesion promoter will definitely help with the non-leather material. We also recommend sanding. You can use the paint with the adhesion promoter to add detailing. This is the type of application that the adhesion promoter is meant for.
So the acrylic leather paint can be used on plastic with some 2-Hard so that it adheres better, correct? I want to customize my cycling shoes which have a mix of leather and plastic sections, so I'm wondering if it would be wrong to use that mix of white and 2-Hard on the whole shoe? Or will it damage the leather parts of the shoe? Awesome video!
These look brilliant! Could you advise on what product to use to colour the studs and sole plate? I want my sole black but I don't know what to use. Thanks
What's more important the first step when you but the leather preparer & deglaze or the last step when your done painting you but the angelus leather paint high gloss finisher plzzzz need help !!!
so if the shoe is all leather with some plastic, do you not need the sand paper? I saw Dejesus use the sand paper for prep work, but he didn’t describe what surface he was working on
Great work! What's the difference between the preparer & deglazer and acetone? And what would you use to prepare cleats of different materials like plastic or mesh or vinyl?
Hi Ricky, Rubbing alcohol may not be as strong however, it may do the job. We would rather recommend acetone or our Leather Preparer and Deglazer. If you have any more questions feel free to contact us at Info@angelusshoepolish.com
AMAAAAZINNNGGG!! Question, i want to paint a nude/light tan colored wallet in neon pink. Do i need a white base coat first?? OH! and there is a zipper in the wallet.. how do i work around that? Can i paint the fabric part of the zipper?
Im sure you’ve painted it by now but you can paint as is but if you want the pink to pop and look like the color of pink you have, you should do a base coat of white. I just did a custom on my channel with a pop of red. The white really helps.
What Angelus type of paint would you use for Nike mercurial vapor X or cleats with synthetic uppers or synthetic leather uppers. Also great paint Job on the tiempos
You did an excellent job! Just wondering how come you sprayed the shoe all white at the beginning? Also if I tried this exact paint on a pair of NIke Roshe Runs would it work the same way, or would I need different paint?
Yes, sanding is recommended for painting cleats. The prep work is the most important step to any custom and without this step then the paint will not likely last and stay.
We do not use clear coat after the fact on the shoes, so I cannot give you an educated answer on that. If you are using a finisher, then 1-2 layers at best. You would want to use the same time frame for drying as well.
Yes, the neon paints are much thinner and semi translucent. Rather than applying 8 light coats of the neon paint, we suggest doing a base coat of a similar color first, followed by the straight neon color on top. For example, if you are using our Neon Pink then do a light base coat of Petal Pink or create a 50/50 mix of the neon paint and white to lay down first. This will cut down the amount of layers and really help that neon to pop.
What type of paint do I need for the nikeskin (it's defined as a mesh layer bound with a thin layer of polyurethane film) of the superfly 4? And what about the synthetic layer of the vapor 10?
