NEW BOX BAR TRICKS. Getting the right radius without using paper and grinding disc template. Base metal: 1.2 thin square tube Click & support: bit.ly/3usOgIw #welding #simplefabricationtips #squaretubingcuttingtricks
Great fabrication technique, however sorry to say poor welding skills. Lots of porosity. Looks like the welding electrodes may have been wrong choice. Satincraft 13 (4213) or Ferocart 18 or 21 maywork better. Avoid cheap no brand rods.
It's possible to bend square tubing using a plumber's pipe bender, with a length of smaller round bar or rod first bent inside the former. This rod forces the square tube to buckle inwards, making it easy to bend. I've done it many times.
@@tinnedanger It looks like he is using a 6011 welding rod which which has a tensile strength of 60,000 lbs per sq inch. lets presume that it’s within established parameters for whatever duty this creators intentions were. If anyone watching this video wants a smoother, prettier weld on their own creations , that could be achieved with a mig, tig, 7018 or a few other types of welding processes; In fact, his main intention was obviously not to show what a perfect weld looks like ,only to show his formula and process for the radius bend. So, in this context, good enough describes this weld.
Internet is full of daft comments like this. I have a video of a nearly forgotten way to load timber and someone has replied that he can lift logs heavier than that by hand. So why bother watching my video instead of strong guys lifting heavy weights. Same here. There are plenty welding videos out there. People just don’t get the point.
Excelente enseñanza solo mi duda que estoy empezando es cómo calcular las distancias o medidas para que me queden exactas las medidas de lo que quiero armar en este caso un cuadro de 2mt x 1.40 mt saludos gracias
Interesting technique, but possibly the worst welding I have ever seen (apart from my own initial attempts when I was an apprentice welder 42 years ago).
