I'd love for a Juniper tree to appear somewhere in my backyard! I don't have any pine trees growing around my home but my neighbors have some huge ones! Trying to get lucky here! lol.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us! I have started planting junipers in the ground but get worried about the care and pruning required when ground growing.
Never worry about your tree...Nature takes over. Let it grow; you'll have plenty time to "find the squirrel in the tree" and the redundant branches can be made into Jin. Right?
Nice to hear from you. I wish I still vacation travel. Bali is one of the places I always wanted to vist. Enjoy your hobby! I love Indonesian bonsai style...reflecting your culture! ...by adding a twist to the standard design we see in bonsai books. Enjoy your hobby!
Thank you Mr Chang for taking the time to look at a few of my trees and your kind words in your response! i always am hoping to find unwanted or discarded trees at the curb on Monday evenings. One man's trash may just become another's bonsai heirloom! Although the ones i have come across are usually cut right above the roots then thrown away 😣 with the root ball laying right next to the foliage. Oh well one day , one day...
I really really enjoy your channel and I love to watch what you're doing with those big trees it's very different from other bonsai teachers, who don't seem to use clip and grow very much at all. So thank you very much for what you are doing ❤. If I may be bold ..... Sometimes it's hard to see exactly what you're doing and I wonder if a plain background might help us enjoy your work even more, it's just a thought. Thanks so much and please keep going
Can you do a video on how to do cuttings? I’ve tried atleast a dozen times in the last month to propagate my mimosa, maybe some of my trials are working and I maybe impatient, but they seem to all be dieing off slowly
My Juniper bonsai looses all its leaves. It barely has much roots. Should I discard it ? What should I do to encourage more roots growth? Thanks. I really enjoy your show and learn a lot .
I planted it back into the same pot with the same soil because I wanted it to fill out a little more before go for the next update...Bonsai pot is shallow, thus more care in the soil mix. Less care needed when planted in the ground or in growing pots. Definitely better if I use my potting mix. Potting soil is less critical that providing moisture and fertilizer.
Yeah it's cool, people make bonsai out of Quince which have thorns, or barberry all the time, there's many more trees with thorns. Just be careful when working on them
