Thanks lilian i understood everything you taught, but the issue is on the waist clintching, you know on that waist line your dart intake is 1" On both side, now you replaced just 1" Back which i understood perfectly! By my calculation if the fabric is not on fold we are shorting 2" From the front and bk, which makes it difficult for the dress to zip. I dont know if u understand
Like total dart intake for front bodice is 4" But we replaced 2 by coming out by 1" On both side, which means 2" Is shorting from front, same with the back
@@nwokeojinkeiruka5958 you can replace the 0.5 for the zipper if you want to, but I don't because i am used to waist cinching, always use original zipper when making such dress and the only go to zipper is SBS zipper no other zipper will work except that ❤️

I was following but I'm yet to see you add back the dart... 1 inch on both sides of the dart becomes 2inches plus the extra 1inch at the side. But you only replaced 1inch at the side. Please help clarify me. This is my main issue with the pattern. No matter how many times i watched, I'm still confused😢 about the non replaced darts. Please help❤❤❤❤
She took out 2 inches from the initial front waist measurement and replaced only one of the darts. Meaning she added only 1 inch back to the pattern. The same for the back, meaning if the front waist is 10 inches she removed 2 inches for dart then we have 8 inches then she added only 1 inch back to the side so the total waist measurement is 9inches. So she removed 1 inche from the total waist
If you are confuse, just eliminate the dart totally And add 0.5. but note that dart varies base on your body shape/type. Better still watch it over and over again and keep practicing
The only problem i might have is that the front piece will be longer than the back at the end of the day,.with what i see you marking on the paper..pls do explain that part. When joining the front and back piece, won't one come out longer than the other?
Did you watch the measurements tutorial?? The front is not going to be longer i already explained that even on this video, the difference of 1 and half inches is what i used as the side dart sewing it off will align both front and back together
I still have issues with the front armhole bigger than the back armhole due to the big breasts in front. How do we clarify that? To me, that is the main problem with this style.
