Your method demonstrated is fabulous and effective. Nancy Roelfsema also teaches this method as power cutting. For me, I just don't want to do this math in my head (and I'm CPA)--too easy to be tired/inattentive. I have a ruler fetish. I rely on my Stripology ruler to do strip cutting and sub cutting. Cut one way, turn the ruler, cut the other without moving a thing. Also has great markings to ensure folds are parallel to prevent elbows. When not using that ruler (and it doesn't work for everything easily). I use the two ruler method working from right to left. I use the Quilter's Slidelock as my cutting against the ruler on the right which I use for measure. I never turn fabric, and I'm often working off of a bolt for background piece cutting. Lots of ways to skin the quilt cat. Thanks for your great videos. i only have a 6 x 24" ruler, on a limited budget so this method won't work for me. Any ideas when your ruler is not the 15" you have?? Very clear video. Thank you.
