This video will show you the 3 best ways to cut Faux Fur Fabrics in order to avoid excessive shedding and cutting of the fur pile:
1. Scissor Cut - Make small cuts to the backing of the Faux Fur and avoid opening the scissor to wide in order to minimize the contact from the scissor to the pile of the fur.
2. Razor/Blade Cut - Hold the Faux Fur firmly and cut from the top of the fabric towards your body. Always cut the backing, NEVER the pile!
3. Cut and Pull - Make a small incision with a scissor or razor to the backing of the faux fur, then just pull the fabric apart using both hands. This will be the best way to avoid shed. However, this method may not give you as straight of a cut/line as a razor or a scissor will.
